Quiet & Comfortable Stay for a Relaxing Vacation

This place is very quiet and peaceful — perfect for a relaxing holiday. The room is well-equipped with everything you need, and everything was clean and tidy. It felt like a comfortable retreat. The host was also very thoughtful and even prepared some milk for us. Really appreciated the warm touches!

Rural and relaxing

The property is in a rural setting, very relaxing, comfortable space surrounded by nature. It was centrally located for the activities that I wanted to do - the Cambridge Farmers' Market (~10 min), the Sanctuary Mountain® Maungatautari (~30 minutes), and the Hobbiton Movie Set (~30 min). A car is required to stay here. Parking on site with easy access. Tip: If you stay in the summer, lower the shades on the front windows and pull the curtains on the door before you leave in the morning to block the afternoon sun to keep the room cooler when you return. I left the door open in the mornings and on my last day I got a special visit by a local! :) (see photo)

Kotahi Cottage is in a stunning, tranquil setting on the outskirts of Cambridge. The cottage is beautiful and every detail is attended to, to ensure a comfortable stay. it was immaculately clean and there was a lovely complimentary continental breakfast left for you to help yourself to. The owners are friendly and helpful but very respectful of their guests peace and privacy.

Country retreat

The facilities are basic but all you would need. A very comfortable bed a fabulous shower, kettle toaster, fridge and microwave and great WiFi Tv, warm and very cosy. My hosts were very accommodating, friendly and included you in the family if you wished. It’s lovely and peaceful very restful and quiet, but still only about 5 minutes from the centre of Cambridge.

The fact I had to go home.
