If you want to pay to live a nightmare in a hotel accommodation, choose Cascina Volta.
Shortly after leaving the highway, the road to Cascina Volta is a mechanic challenge for the car and for the nerves of the passengers, such are the potholes and their depth... the path is not even good for tractors!
When we arrived close to the building, after 8pm, we noticed that the “guest” vehicles ranged from trucks to normal cars. We looked for the key at the agreed location (reception already closed) and the lack of hygiene of the plastic table and chair that were outside stood out. The ashtray was completely full...
We wanted to speak to the person in charge and tried several times to call the telephone number that was shared in the reception window, in case something was urgent. They never answered! We were baffled with such a low service level.
The surroundings were not at all welcoming... some men outside smoking and several clotheslines hanging around, it was clear that people were in that accommodation on a “more permanent” basis than the traditional guests. It was embarrassing and uncomfortable to understand the environment we were in.
The climb to the room was made via stairs whose bulbs didn't light up (we had to use our cell phone). Along the way, and when passing through the other rooms, we saw several shoes outside!! The smell of tobacco was intense, despite the warnings not to smoke in the corridors.
When we arrived at our room, we were already very sorry about having booked 2 nights in that place. But as they weren't answering the phone, we weren't able to share our concerns with the person in charge. We decided to take a shower and leave. We sent a written communication and on the following day, they replied that they did not understand our problem and as we had taken a shower they would not refund the money for the 2 nights. Incredible... I think the person must have confused us with the foreign workers he decided to house in that building...

Breakfast was ok. The staff was nice.
The room was not like the pictures. The floor was dirty. There were cobwebs in the ceiling and behind the bed. To get to the room we had to go all the way around the building and to the back with overgrown vegetation. We could also hear the person on the next room snore, which says a lot. There was also an unlocked room inside the bathroom with exposed electric wires that was also very dirty.

Good place for one night, but I won't come back.
Given the cost of the room, the breakfast was rich and good. Room size was OK for one night sleep. The swimming pool, even if nothing special, was clean and a good bonus for very hot days. The AC in the room was working very well. A lot of parking. Very nice and helpful reception personnel (Daniela).
400 m of access road are not asphalted and full of holes. You cannot drive more than 2-3 kph to avoid damages to tires or suspensions, especially if the car if full with people and luggage. Mosquitoes ate us alive in the rooms. The place is an obvious location for mosquitoes (countryside, swimming pool, a lot of drining water from all the AC's). Avoiding mosquitoes bites is private responsibility, but I would have found nice if the hotel informed us in advance. I don't expect that they give you stuff to repel mosquitoes (safety concern), but at least that they inform guests in advance. I would have bought a big mosquito spray beforehand.
Possibly a personal preference: our two rooms had the doors on the east, so in the morning it was very bright. Dark curtains would have helped. The shutters were ok, but they left too much light it.

Not recommended for staying
The girl on the reception did her best. Check in was fast and easy. There was plenty of towels. Breakfast was quite decent (cold cuts, croissants, pan cakes, yogurts).
The worth experience! The photos of the hotel are not matching the reality. There is no wifi! The road to the hotel is in awful potholes and has no light. The place is neglected and abandoned. The room was shabby, furniture very old, floor dusty, doors ripping. There's only white thin curtain on the window, so at 6 in the morning it's already lots of light in your room. Water in the bath was staying inside while you are taking shower. The swimming pool full of leaves. Garden absolutely neglected. There was lots of people looking like workers that also live here. It was strange feeling of student dormitory under construction, but not of a decent hotel. Unsafe.
Overall it looks like fraud. You are expecting to get something at least normal for 110 eur/night.

I'd rate this hotel as a fraud. Not 3 stars, more like no stars. Crappy rooms and the envoirement felt unsafe. We left without checking in. The pictures, the pool etc vs reality is not correct.

Friendly staff, pet friendly place
The road to the house is really bumby, not car-friendly. It's an old house with no sound isolation so I could hear the guest snoring in the room upstairs and leaving early morning as the wooden floor was very loud.

Access road had huge potholes. No toilet paper in bathroom. The garden and pool area could be very nice but overgrown at our stay.
The girl at the reception was very nice and friendly and the place was quite close to the highway, which is appreciated when you’re on your way and need to stop for the night (a bit “remote” from “civilization” though)
Despite the potential of the whole place, unfortunately the main impression is that it’s bit “abandoned”. Just to get there you need to go through 3 minutes of a road FULL of huge holes, I believe it’s not that difficult/costly to fix this… then once you arrive, you can notice ar first sight that some lights on the facade have fallen and remain there, broken. Quite an easy fix as well… Then, pictures at Booking show a nice swimming pool… which had no water and looks abandoned. Rooms were quite okay, but also far from what’s shown in the pictures and you can head everything what’s happening in the nearby room (at least in the upper floor). Last but not least, there’s no wifi (in 2023!) and despite the bumpy road (mentioned above) had some lamps, all of them are off… a pity.

Very isolated, quite place. Nice staff. Great breakfast, because finally we got ham and salami as well. I can not eat sweets for breakfast U know. My wife got milk for the coffee, so it became a nice experience.

Good breakfast, Bedroom is large and with A/C. Parking is good and large. Accomodation is very near from motorway.
The walls and floor are very thin so you can listen to your neighbours... and also they can listen whenever you move. Unapropriate for families with childrens. Or if the neighbours plan to have a drink and talk late.

Good hotel outside the city but no internet
An old farm house, converted into a nice hotel. It has a clean pool. The location is outside the city but good for those who are traveling because it is close to the highway. The person at the reception was very friendly. When we entered the room, we could hear every step from the room above because the ceiling is wooden. When we complained, the reception person gave us a bigger and nicer room that didn't have that problem. The breakfast was decent, but without fruit and with a relatively narrow selection of food.
It is unbelievable that there is no internet at all in the hotel. If I had known that, I would not have booked a room at this hotel. It was written in the description of the hotel when I booked it, but I didn't notice it because I assumed that nowadays all hotels have internet. It's my fault, but it's an incredible fact that nowadays the hotel doesn't have internet. Relatively modest breakfast. Far from the center of the city, where you have to go by car. Some rooms have a wooden ceiling so you can hear footsteps from the room above.
