The property was clean except the hot tub. It was old with peeling paint in many rooms. One shower could not regulate the hot water.

We had a lovely stay. The house is walking distance from the bike path in Brewster and the view of the lake is really nice. We had a lot of fun playing with the ping pong table in the basement and there is a garage which is very useful to store bikes. The owner was very responsive to our messages. Our only criticism is that the kitchen was not well stocked. There was only one bowl, several of the cooking utensils were melted and there was no cutting board. Also the clothes dryer in the basement didn't seem to get hot to dry the clothes. Overall we had a great stay and I think these few things can be addressed pretty easily.

The property met our basic needs for a week vacation, but would benefit from a deep cleaning and some low-cost maintenance and improvements to fix things like difficult to close doors and a slow sink drain. The kitchen is stocked with the minimal tools needed for basic cooking, but was limiting while trying to cook dinner for 8. The yard is similarly in need of some TLC and was overgrown with weeds. The owner communicated well, and pricing was on the low end of accommodations of this size.
