Castaway Island Hostel

Had a wonderful stay here! The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, and I especially loved Bob, the friendly ginger cat. The hostel had a great social atmosphere, with daily activities like movie nights and karaoke. In the evenings, there were always people playing pool and darts or just hanging out, making it easy to meet other travellers. The location was very convenient, less than a 10-minute walk from Mushroom Bay, which is a great spot for swimming and catching ferries. The hostel can also help arrange scooter hire, transport, and tours such as snorkelling and island hopping, which made exploring the island really easy. The beds were comfortable and had privacy curtains, and secure lockers were provided for valuables. The pool was clean and refreshing, and complimentary tea, instant coffee, and filtered drinking water were available throughout the stay. Highly recommend!

Gorgeous property, clean, tidy, beautiful outdoor space. The most friendly people from the second I arrived on the boat to the moment I left. Great taxi service too. The snorkelling trip through the hostel is SO good - recommend. Room was basic but clean and comfortable.

The walk through the trees was scary at night walking alone
