Phoenix X is one of the most popular condominium complexes on the gulf coast. There is a reason more vacationers stay at this condo than any other in Orange Beach.

There is not a better place to stay for you and your family than Phoenix X. There are plenty of activities including a weight room, racquetball court, sauna, indoor pool, hot tubs, tennis courts, and outdoor pool. There is even a nice gazebo area to relax under while your bbqing.

This is a Premium unit. Come relax on the spacious 5th floor balcony with breathtaking views of the gulf or sleep on the large king bed in the master with balcony access! A Queen in the 2nd bedroom and 2 Double beds in the 3rd bedroom. This unit has been upgraded to included new furniture, granite countertops, and new cabinetry. We are conveniently located next to restaurants, grocery stores and not far from the outlet malls. Don't forget we are right next door to the Flora-Bama!

Parking: Parking passes are a one time fee of $70 plus tax per vehicle. You will receive an email prior to your arrival to purchase the passes and will then be picked up at the front desk upon arrival. One bedroom condos are guaranteed 1 parking pass. Two and three bedroom condos are guaranteed two parking passes. Additional passes will be sold based on availability in the parking lot.

This room has great proximity to the parking garage, elevators, and trash chute. The floor has not been mopped for some time inside the condo. If you walked barefoot your feet were black within minutes. There was food crumbs inside the kitchen drawers. Pools were clean and plenty of seating. It was nice to have a ice vending machine on the property and a air fill station for floats.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed at Phoenix X three years in a row. We love the location due to being able to walk across the road to eat every night. The condo was clean and well decorated. The only downside to this condo, is there is not a pantry or anywhere to put food/snacks in cabinets. The kitchen cabinets are full of dishes, so any food you bring has to be displayed on the counter. The pool is always packed, so our kids prefer the indoor pool.

The location is unbeatable and the beach is perfect and not too crowded even on what is a busy weekend in may. It’s a super fun location next to the florabama as per the listing indicates. The vibe is just so fun. People dancing on balconies and singing and grilling in the evenings. Everyone has the perfect amount of space and the grounds are well maintained and nice. You can walk over and get frozen drinks all day long and have the best time. My main complaint is the cleanliness of the condo as others have stated. The dishes were put back dirty and there was makeup all over the towels. Dish soap was not provided— only dish washer powder. We were only provided 2 rolls of toilet paper for 5 people as well. Some extra things would have made our stay better such as salt and pepper and basic kitchen necessities. Overall it was a good experience, just what you pay for a premium spot should be clean and have a few more amenities.

Ice maker broken, someone came out looked at it said yes it’s broken nothing further. Dishwasher had 2 dirty pieces of metal sticking out at top, fortunately no one injured themselves. Washer sounds like a truck and dryer extremely slow. Only 4 coffee cups for 6 adults. Oh and no ice cube tray so had to buy ice. Inconvenient. However we love OB and that location so we may be back.

The Condo was very nice but was not cleaned properly. Floors was dirty, showers was dirty with mold, shower curtains was dirty, refrigerator was dirty and under furniture has not been cleaned for sometime.

Condo is nice and the Phoenix X is in a great location. I would go back. We had a great trip. I only gave it 3 stars for cleanliness. After 2 hours of cleaning it was fine. BTW, I’d find yourself a new cleaning crew. Toilet seats also need to be replaced in both bathrooms. Other than that, everything was fine.

The condo was in a great location and was very nice. Restaurants, bars, and entertainment are within walking distance. Great beach! The cleanliness of the unit's bathrooms was poor—visible mold in the toilets and showers. The rest of the unit was fabulous! A little bleach would go a long way... But overall, we did enjoy our stay.

Pros: Everything was great about the Phoenix X facilities (pools, grills). We have stayed at the resort before and at several Phoenix’s. The furniture was adequate and the couch was large and accommodated our family. The location was great and the view was fantastic. Cons: This condo needs some repairs including the front door being rusted. One of the bedroom doors was falling apart, making it difficult to close. The refrigerator drawers wouldn’t slide. There was very little water pressure to showers and overall cleanliness could have been improved. Some of the outdoor patio chairs were starting to unravel making it difficult to sit on. Wi fi was very poor. We had a great time even though some improvements to the interior of the condo could be made.

Overall our stay was okay. The public areas like pools, grills, public bathrooms were very clean and maintained. However, the cleaniness of the private room area was very poor and needs some deep cleaning. We had to buy cleaning products to clean the floors because kids socks were black within 5 minutes of arrival. Having low lighting (25 watt bulbs) to hide the dirt is an old trick. Upon arrival we found the floors not vaccum nor mopped. The showers had mold on grout along with soap scum on tiles. There was dust on everything even on the ceiling. The bed spreads had dirty spots, the couch needs shampooing, and batteries were dead in remotes. The appliances had dried food on them and the cookware needs to replaced. The washer needs a deep cleaning due to mold on the agitator. All appliances (washer,dryer, stove, refrigerator)need to upgraded. Overall the room was functional but cleanliness pitful.

The condo was perfect for our family of 6. It could have been cleaned better but we won't hold that against the property manager as he isn't the one cleaning it. And if you have every experience the sugar sand beach, you know the sand travels with you everywhere, even back to Iowa! :)

Overall a good experience with the property. The cleanliness of the condo was not great. Bathrooms/toilets smelled like urine and had urine around the base. Lots of dust and things under the beds. The sweeper didn’t suck and their was no dust pan for the broom. There were several extra pillows and blankets but there were no extra pillow cases and the blankets didn’t appear clean.

Condo was great for our needs I will mention it’s probably time to look at some updates and a few normal maintenance things. There are 7-8 chairs on the balcony and I wouldn’t sit in 4 of them either they are already busted through or they are close to it. Light bulbs out in the bathrooms and missing covers for the exhaust fan. Looked like it had recently be painted for the ceilings in the bathroom and they slung the paint all around it was on the doors and floors as well as sprayed down the walls which seemed odd.

We like Phoenix X because it is next to Flora Bama. The set up of the condo was nice. The kitchen was nice. The cleanliness of the property was terrible. The showers had hair in them and mildew all over. The bedding in one room was old and overused making it feel very unclean. The ceilings were popcorn sprayed and it was all over the walls and looked terrible. The property isn’t kept up very well. Phoenix X hasn’t been kept up either. Caution tape on rales and half the elevators didn’t work. After getting passed the cleanliness we had a really good time.

Booking was simple and straightforward. Checkout process was also very smooth. The condo was nicely decorated but there were some serious issues with the cleanliness of the unit. At least two of the beds did not have clean linens when we arrived. One bed had quite a bit of sand between the sheets and another bed had sheets that were stained. When we removed them for washing, we noticed that one of the mattress pads had what appeared to be smeared feces on them. When washed it came clean. I emailed Charles Saunders with the concerns (and included pictures) but got no response. Any time the checkout checklist asks that you not strip the beds; that sends up some red flags. Why would the cleaning crew not want some help in prepping the beds for clean linen? Needless to say, we stripped our beds at checkout in the hopes the new renters would get clean sheets. We did not like the location of the condo (FloriBama lounge and package store is right next door), but do not fault the property owners for that. If someone is in to that scene, you would love it there. It just wasn’t for us. This is also the first time my family and I have stayed on a property with this many units and we have decided the smaller ones are more to our liking.All in all, it was a nice vacation, but I have serious concerns about the housekeeping at this property.

This condo was great! More detail needs to be shown by the cleaning crew, although nothing that would stop us from staying there again in the future (floors a little dirty, one remote was filthy, and the counters in kitchen weren’t cleaned well before our arrival). You can’t beat the location. The view was great! The fact that there are TV’s in every room was a big plus. Charlie (manager) was very attentive and asked us several times if we needed anything. Great family vacation.
