This cottage is a true gem! It is in a great location just north of pleasure point and south of twin lakes. Set in a very quiet location just a few minutes' walk to the beach. The residence is charming and comfortable with a large back yard and deck that is accessible from French doors to the living room - making it perfect for indoor/outdoor living. I stayed in this cottage for a month in the summer and can say with certainty that anyone looking for a quiet get-away in a comfortable home will be very happy.

Overall great lil house. Very clean, very good owner communications, good service, some water and wine in frig upon arrival. Great backyard! "Dog friendly" means dogs welcome, but in the welcome letter, it suggests bringing sheets and blankets to cover furniture so as not to incur additional fees from dog hair. This may be helpful to know in advance. We covered sofa, chair, and the beds, and also brought dog bed, dog carrier just to be safe. Nice laundry room located outside, but not a real functional clothesline for drying out back. Plenty of hooks all over property, both inside and out, to hang stuff. Only one bathroom, which is very tiny. Gauge your travel partners carefully, as this gets pretty cozy with six people! Oven was not easy to use, but stove was gas (worked fine). Windows VERY hard to open and close, but old fashioned locks were charming. Walk to beach down street and sandy waterway was easy, only took less than 10 minutes. Backyard patio huge, landscaped, lovely, patio table good for games and meals. Outdoor light oddly turns on with almost hidden outdoor switch behind a chair. Would stay again with less people (were 6). Great for small family, or a couple, ideally 4 close friends.

We decided to take a last minute girl's trip. We wanted a place anywhere near the ocean. This house is located in a very cute neighborhood with a short walk to the beach. You can hear the ocean at night which is my favorite sound to hear. The backyard was perfect for our two pups to run around and lounge in the sun. So many great restaurants, coffee shops and stores near by.

The cottage provided everything we needed for a short getaway and Amy was a very responsive host. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well-stocked and the yard was perfect for our dogs as well as a great place for us to lounge. It was nice to stroll down to the lagoon in the morning. Good walkable local restaurants, coffee and ice cream too! There’s so much to do in Santa Cruz and the cottage was a terrific home base for all of it. Highly recommend!

Charming well appointed house in great neighborhood with a lovely relaxing backyard. Contact with hosts was minimal, instructive, and very cordial. The only drawback was that the front bedroom (smaller of 3) would be seriously over-heated when the general heat was turned on; I imagine this would not be an issue in warmer weather.

A lovely small home with a comfortable backyard protected from the wind when it became windy in the afternoon at the beach. Very close to the Lake Moran Park, which is 1/4 mile from the Lake Moran beach. I had never visited this beach before and found it very comfortable for a 6 and a 9 year-old (although, of course, cold water). The outside shower at the house (with warm water) was perfect for rinsing off and the clothes line was great for drying out swim clothes and towels (although the house has a big washer and dryer). Beds were very comfortable. One small bathroom was fine. Our hosts were easy to communicate with and responded to questions quickly. Two beach chairs and several sun parasols (which we didn't use). I'd suggest bringing a wagon for hauling stuff to the beach. Hope to rent again in the future.

My wife and I loved our stay. The house is clean and beautiful. The backyard was our favorite: great design, space, and perfect for hanging out. The location is right next to a trail that leads you straight to the beach and surrounding trails. The host was friendly, proactive, and quick to respond to any messages. Our dog loved the house as well, he was a happy camper. We'd happily stay at this location again and highly recommend it to anyone!

We very much enjoyed our two week stay in your home. We loved sitting on the deck in the backyard enjoying your lovely garden. We particularly liked walking our dog in the forest area only a few steps away and very close to the dog friendly beach. The street we were on was a dead end which was quiet and well located. Your quaint home had everything thing we needed. We appreciated your quick response to our questions and concern for our stay. We thought of a few thing to compliment your rental - a teapot and a bathtub mat or no slip strips. Thanks again, we hope to rent from you again

Small 3-bdrm, 1-bath cottage is old but very well kept-up. We’ve stayed a couple times because it perfectly suits our needs with our Springer Spaniel fur baby. I imagine it would be good for a couple with 2 children, also. The front bedroom is more like the size of an office or den, with a full-size bed and glass doors separating it from the living area. Two main bedrooms have very comfy queen beds and share the small bath. The roomy backyard is beautifully landscaped and maintained & wonderful for our dog. And the home is a couple houses down from an off-leash open space along the lagoon that leads down to the ocean or up to commercial areas with restaurants & quaint coffee houses. Great location!

This charming beach house was perfect for us! We loved everything from the vintage vibe (cottage feel but updated with every modern need) to the beautiful backyard to the south Santa Cruz location (I guess it's called east, but it felt south, next to Capitola)! It's located in a quiet residential neighborhood but close to the fun Santa Cruz sights. The cottage has 3 bedrooms, but one is converted from an office off the living area and the bed is small - ok for a child. The other two bedrooms each have a queen bed, and all share one bathroom, which is nice but not huge. A little laundry room was appreciated and came in handy! We took our well-behaved spaniel and he was in heaven. He roamed and explored the pretty back yard, then could accompany us to the end of the street where a scenic eucalyptus-lined trail ran one way along the lagoon to the ocean and the other into town. Every morning we walked there to patronize some cute coffee houses. And if we wanted to go further (wine-tasting, visiting friends, golf, more beaches), the location was convenient to so many central coast destinations. Amy has a great list of restaurants and activities to enjoy while in the area, and her place was ideal for our 5-night get-away vacation! Thank you!
