About this house rental
Our Pleasure Point beach house is conveniently located halfway between the famous Santa Cruz boardwalk and the quaint village of Capitola. We are located three blocks from the ocean cliffs, with access to some of the best surfing and more private beaches in Santa Cruz. We are also a short walk to the cafes, restaurants, and surf shops on 41st Ave. Relax in our sunny and very private backyard. Enjoy the Adirondack chairs, outdoor shower, outdoor gas grill, dining on the patio, and soaking in the 6-person hot tub.
We continually refurbish our beach house inside and out, while keeping its original bungalow charm. We have top of the line appliances (LG fridge, front loader washer/dryer), an indoor/outdoor Bose stereo system, and we have high speed internet, local HDTV, and Netflix. There is room for 4 people to sleep on beds, and in addition, we have space for 1 adult on the couch, portable crib, and an aero bed. Our home is super family and kid friendly, and equipped with a lot of what you would want for a family vacation at the beach such as cruiser bikes, kids bikes, helmets, a red wagon, boogie boards, beginner surf boards, beach chairs/umbrella, plus hammock in the backyard.
Pleasure Point is our favorite place on the California Central Coast to enjoy the beach and the beautiful surrounding areas, from redwood forests to wine country. We look forward to sharing our beach house with you!

Host was responsive and friendly, house was well appointed and comfortable. We had everything we needed, and hot tub is clean. A really great location for walking, biking and as a base came for exploring Santa Cruz, Monterey and the surrounding areas.

This house has everything you need for a trip to the ocean. Great location as the ocean is just a couple of blocks down the street. The fully fenced front and back yards were perfect for our 9 year old golden retriever to enjoy. The back yard dining area, the Adirondack chairs on the patio....just what we needed on this trip. Inside was perfect for us. And their meaninful art pieces make this house a notch above a bland rental. Can't wait to go back.

I stayed here with my 20 year old daughter for a week while we moved her into an apartment downtown. We came from across country and after a long travel day did not enjoy having to track down the property manager for the door code, which we got after the 3:00 check in time. This is u professional. A couple of things about the home: all of the windows were unlocked when we arrived. Additionally the door from the master to the backyard was broken. It did not lock and the indoor handle fell completely off when touched. Both of these things made me question the safety. Finally, there was an ant problem in the bathroom- luckily owner had ant spray available which I used several times. There were cobwebs in corners inside - made me wonder how clean it was. The home is old and while everything works, some areas are in clear need of replacing.
With that out of the way, lots of good too! House felt spacious and beds were comfy. Awesome to have driveway parking! The yard is amazing. I have stayed in Santa Cruz several times and this house by far has the most “amenities”. The hot tub was clean and spacious. There were loads of bikes and boards. Nice clean laundry room with full sized appliances. Great water pressure in shower. Location cannot be beat. Super quiet and private due to the thoughtful fencing and landscaping.
While I loved the location and yard, I likely would not stay here again. Solid communication and property ate a must for me.
