Journey through time to Bessie’s Landing in Jefferson, Texas. This charming cottage is located in the City’s Historic District and is ideally suited for a weekend get-a-way or long-term stay. The cottage has 2 bedrooms (sleeps 3), 1 bathroom, private entrance, WiFi, and includes a fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer and a beautifully decorated living area. Bessie's Landing is a 2 ½ hour drive from Dallas and an hour drive from Shreveport. Adjacent to the cottage is the main house which was built in 1857 and Guests are welcome to tour. We really enjoyed our stay at Bessie's Landing. The cottage is located perfectly to be able to walk to the local eateries and attractions. The details made it a special way to celebrate our anniversary. The front porch was the perfect place to enjoy a cup or two of morning coffee. We couldn't have asked for a better stay. And the well stocked refrigerator, complete with drinks and snacks was a welcomed treat after traveling or out shopping.We've been coming to Jefferson every few years since 1979; it's the perfect getaway from the Metroplex. We try to stay someplace new each time, just to have varied experiences. I suspect we'll be coming back here again next time, though, just because it has so much to offer.Hats off to our host, and the great little oasis they have created. We heavily recommend it.

Nothing but good things to say about this adorable cottage. The Hosts were so great! The fridge was stocked with everything we could have wanted….the decor was delightful and the location was perfect, if you want to enjoy Jefferson and all it has to see and do But, if your wanting to relax, sitting on the porch listening to the waterfall and enjoying a cup of coffee or glass of wine is perfection! We will come again!

We loved staying at Bessie’s Landing. We loved that it had a kitchen with a big refrigerator and microwave. It had a living room and big TV with all the channels. We have stayed at places where you had to have access to paid channels which we do not have. Bessie’s Landing already had access to certain channels. What a Blessing! It was close to downtown. We will definitely be booking again! The owner has food in the refrigerator so that you can just stay in and relax. We had the Best blueberry cake!
