Spectacular ocean & sunset views at the one-of-a-kind ocean front Maui Kai Resort. The only way to be closer to the ocean is taking a cruise. Located on the 9th floor, the condo offers privacy & 180 degree panoramic view of the islands of Lanai & Molokai. This air-conditioned unit has over 800 sq ft of living space with a fully stocked kitchen, a king-size bed, a pull out sofa & two day beds on the lanai (can be closed off & used as 2nd bedroom). Complex has pool, jacuzzi, Club House & BBQs.
Welcome to Maui Kai Unit 905! This condo is located near the center of the building, on the ninth floor. When walking into the front door you will immediately be greeted by the 180 degree panoramic view of the ocean, framed by the islands of Lanai and Molokai. The views are spectacular from this condo, as the resort is built right at the edge of the water.
The air-conditioned 1-bedroom condo has over 800 square feet of living space and is equipped with a king-size bed, a pull out sofa in the living area and two twin beds on the lanai which can be used as a second bedroom by closing the large sliding doors and bamboo drapes. The spacious living area is open to the full-size kitchen, complete with stainless steel appliances and granite counter tops. Original art adds interest to the Hawaiian décor and luxury vinyl planks add comfort and warmth. A laid-back atmosphere, as well as free Wi-Fi and free parking make for a relaxed stay the moment you arrive.
The master bedroom offers a plush king-size bed the new Hybrid Eurotop Matress features: Bamboo, CertiPUR Certified, Hybrid, Hypoallergenic, Natural, Pocket Coil, Sleeps cool, Gel Memory Foam, Euro Top and Medium Firmness. There is a 50 inch wall-hung Smart TV with a Blu-ray player, new furniture, wooden blinds and Hawaiian closet doors with built in bureau affording more open space in the bedroom. We are fully stocked with plush bathroom towels, as well as pool towels and a starter kit of bathroom and kitchen supplies.
This resort features a pool, hot tub, barbecue, picnic area, pool side kitchen, clubhouse with Ping-Pong table and coin laundry facilities and free parking. It is a short walk to shopping, a market and several restaurants. It is also within walking distance to Whalers Village (30min walk along the beach front), which offers Beachside mall with boutiques, restaurants, hula lessons & other activities.

This is as close to the ocean as you can get; one of the older buildings with minimum setback from water. It is not beachfront as there are rocks and coral in front of building but beach is on either side so just as good. Unit on 9th floor gives excellent overview and opportunity to see any ocean activity. We enjoyed that most of all. Whales were active and easily spotted during our visit.The unit is dated and shows its wear but all things worked with few exceptions. We like cleanliness and found it was not adequately cleaned for our taste and the vacuum cleaner did not vacuum; it seemed to just spread debris and hair still present from prior use. Some rentals will have lots of food seasonings either provided or left behind. You will find salt and pepper here. There is not much space to store beach essentials so you will find only two (by now very worn) beach chairs. They should be replaced soon or perhaps some renter will leave a pair behind.The minors did not outweigh or even diminish the majors. It's a relatively quiet place except for the ocean waves (which is a plus). There is shopping nearby. Whalers village is a long walk or drive for most. We would definitely return.

The views were amazing, our host was easy to work with, and the condo was well supplied. We would definitely recommend this unit to others and the close proximity to the ocean beach walk was wonderful!

I'd give it more stars if I could! The location was outstanding and the condo was equipped with everything we could need to enjoy our weeklong stay. We came specifically to see the whales and did not leave disappointed. They were everywhere and visible at all times of the day. It was a bucket list trip and was so nice we might not cross it off the list, and come back.

View and location were great. Access to walking path was very nice. The room was okay. Clean and manageable for me and my wife. It seemed a little outdated. The property was dated and semi rundown. The pool area was quite small and kind of lame. Bunch of construction on the property which was annoying. Overall wasn’t horrible but will likely look elsewhere if we return.
