You will never forget your stay at the Gruene House! Privacy, relaxation and fun are what you will get in this 2 story home--the closest private home located in the original neighborhood in Gruene. Providing more space and charm than a condo, our home combines modern amenities and the comforts of home along with the best location in Gruene.
The home has a primary bedroom with luxe, king bed and large, private bathroom with walk in rain shower on the ground level. Also on the main floor is the well-stocked kitchen open to the living room with bar seating for 3 and a dining table that seats 6. The second floor includes two additional bedrooms, a full bath in the hall way, and loft area with single daybed and desk area. One bedroom has 2 queen beds and one has one queen bed. Off the loft are french doors to an elevated deck overlooking the pool and resort like yard. The backyard has amazing shade trees (unusual in this area) with native flowers and plants.
Still the best feature is the custom designed Guadalupe river style pool complete with Hill Country Boulders and a jumping rock. The bubbler creates a soothing sound for relaxing in the sun (the pool is not heated to swim temperature in the winter months). The Gruene House has everything you need for outdoor entertaining including a firepit and outdoor kitchen area with gas grill and fridge--lots of space to spread out, lounge, swim, and play. The birds are always chirping creating a relaxed atmosphere and melting away your stress. You won't want to leave! Whether you want to CHILL OUT or WARM UP, this is the place to do it, Texas style.
If you get tired of playing and relaxing at home, the fun of "downtown" Gruene is a one block stroll away. Pop into Gruene Hall to catch some live music, the General Store, the Grapevine wine-tasting room or any of the shops and restaurants whenever you please! No driving down a dark, windy road or fighting for a parking spot in the historic district. No arguing about who wants to shop and who wants to get back to the house to relax by the pool or firepit. Gruene has something for people of all ages- shops, restaurants, live music, and the Guadalupe River--all within a short stroll from your private hideaway. *The house is not suitable for children under 6 or those who do not know how to swim.*
