About this cabin rental

Our log cabin was completed in July of 2010 on 7.5 acres we fell in love with the first time we saw the property in March of 2009. Call 812-726-4849, check out our website turkeyhillcabinrentals. This part of southern Indiana is so unique. The view reminds us of our many trips to eastern TN. We never get tired of seeing wild turkeys and white-tailed deer walking across the front yard. Since we are a mile off the main road and at the end of the lane, no traffic passes by. Couples and families have enjoyed our cabin. With solid log construction and wood through-out, this cabin is set apart from others.
This quiet retreat area is just minutes away from a wide range of activities. Guest often comment that there is so much to do. You can enjoy Patoka Lake with all its boating, fishing, etc. Go to Indiana's playground in historic French Lick, IN. Not many small towns can offer a world class casino and golfing, indoor water park and go-carting, seasonal train rides into the Hoosier National Forest, local winery with a wonderful sample of Indiana's best wines, two historically registered hotels to tour, Paoli Peaks Snow skiing, and more.

The perfect cabin for our girls weekend! The views in the morning were so beautiful. You are truly tucked away and feel so secluded, yet just a short drive from French Lick. The hot tub was also amazing!

My husband and I stayed in this cabin over the weekend and loved it. The property is spacious and private- perfect for enjoying the outdoors. The fall décor made it feel cozy and welcoming, and our dog, Merle, had the best time running around the land. We also loved that dogs are welcome- definitely a plus. Relaxing in the hot tub after our days outside was the perfect way to end each evening. Highly recommend this cabin for a peaceful, comfortable getaway.

I rented this cabin for myself and my best friend to celebrate her birthday. We have been friends for over 60 years. We are both retired and value a few days to just relax from our busy lives caring for our families. The cabin was clean, quiet and equipped with all we needed and more. Our stay at the cabin was so enjoyable! My husband and I visited for a birthday trip and it was such a cute place. Located about 10 minutes from French Lick, we were able to enjoy the peace and quiet of the country and still pop into town for dinner or shopping. The cabin is small, but still had enough space for us to enjoy. The hot tub was nice, though the jets don't work very well. The upstairs sleeping loft was roomy, though the stairs are very steep. Kitchen was very well equipped. The hammocks in the front yard were great too! The check in procedure was very simple and the hosts were so sweet and accomodating. We had a great time!

Turkey Hill cabin is clean and well equipped. Just bring food, sit back, relax, and in a few minutes the cabin feels like home. The cabin is a place to go when you want to see stars at a bonfire and enjoy the quiet but it is a short drive to French Lick and West Baden resorts. This is a return trip so that is the best recommendation I can give!

My family and I stayed at the cabin and absolutely loved it. The cabin is quaint, but everything is well organized so we never felt cramped. The property is wonderful. It is near the owner's home but still very secluded. The owner brought us fresh Indiana tomatoes and checked to make sure we had everything we needed. The front porch was my favorite spot. My husband loved the huge firepit with firewood on site, where we enjoyed making smores. And my children loved the hot tub. We saw whitetail deer on the property every day. The onsite washer and dryer allowed us to pack light. The cabin is only 15 minutes away from the heart of French Lick. We ate at local restaurants, shopped at Bear Hollow, and hiked the trails behind the casino. We made a trip to Holiday World an hour away, and we had a day on Patoka Lake. The cabin owner had tons of brochures with things to do nearby, and there were recommendations for the best vendors to use. The surround sound system in the living room and the recliners made for a great home theater experience. If the weather had been cooler, we could have tried out the fireplace. We definitely plan to return someday soon!

We have stayed there before. Each time it has been so peaceful and relaxing. Not having traffic noise is just unexplainable. We live next to a State Forest, but our road has become busier and busier. It is much more peaceful here. Millie was more than helpful, she was like a good friend. She made it easier for us to get away. This will always be one of our favorite getaways. Thanks Millie

We had the perfect weekend at the cabin. It had everything we needed to cook meals. Definitely enjoyed the hot tub on the back patio. We experienced and unexpected (80 degrees and sunny) power outage and the owners did not hesitate to bring a generator so we could enjoy the rest of our stay. The beds were comfortable, and there were plenty of extra blankets and pillows. The view was lovely & the hot tub was relaxing. While in the area, we enjoyed hiking in national forest areas & the Total Solar Eclipse!
