The location was perfect being on the walk and steps to the beach. Many restaurants nearby and kids had many trips to nearby Belmont Park. Garage had plenty of room for a car and bikes. Would love to stay again!

The location is obviously wonderful and we really enjoyed the beach and the boardwalk, etc. Check-in was easy, no issues at all with the management, and the house itself is lovely and well laid out. Our issue is the poor quality of the furnishings. The living room furniture (aside from one couch) is really uncomfortable and no one wanted to sit in there. The 3 single beds are way below standard as well; loud, creaky and uncomfortable, only suitable for young kids. Broken boogie boards, rusty old beach chairs and a very tired outside couch all could be upgraded to make this a really great beach house and worth the money.We did appreciate the BBQ (with gas!) and the long garage where we were able to get 2 smaller cars to fit, a big bonus in Mission Beach.

Lovely property right on the boardwalk. This is a great property for kids! We had a couple small issues with amenities in the house, but the management company was so quick to respond and very helpful! Would rent again.

We stayed in this property last year and this year, the same week. We love it here! The BBQ was broken when we arrived which was unfortunate, but it was replaced at the end of our week. Overall the home is very clean, and has the perfect layout for families. We love being able to sit on the patio and watch the kiddos play on the sand.

We spent a week at the house and couldn't have been more happy with the stay! The house was spacious and very private, despite it being one of two residences in the building. Patio backed right to the boardwalk and the beach for fun people watching and beautiful sunsets. Walkable in both directions to shops and restaurants, including Belmont Park. Would definitely stay again!

The location is unbeatable. House was very clean. The only issue was there were people above us and it sounded like they were falling through the ceiling. This was all day and into the evening and again at 7am. You couldn't nap, watch a show or go to bed early. Other than wanting a good night's sleep, the place was great!

Our Family vacation couldn't have found a better place to stay at. Unit is spacious, well stocked, has an amazing view. Beds were above average, pillows were very good. Jack and Jill bathroom between the bedroom with 3 twin beds and the bedroom with a full bed was great! Kids and their bathroom was out of sight from thier parents. The door in their bathroom to allow a person to use the toilet and shower and another use the sink was very helpfull. Would recommend 10 out of 10 and if we are back we'll book this exact unit. Garage is fairly large, but the garage door is small. Its also a tight alley that requires some maneuvering to get a vehicle in and out of the garage.

Had a great time staying here. Location cannot be beat -- right by the beach, and easy drive to downtown or up to La Jolla. Sliding door was a bit tough to open or close, but given the amount of salty fog that seemed to come in every night, I don't blame them. The grill was in pretty rough shape (again, salt corrosion) so we didn't use it, but the rest of the kitchen was well outfitted. Garage was small but having a private closed off parking space was great.

We had a fantastic stay here! The inside is completely updated. Beautiful kitchen that is fully equipped with everything! Patio is spacious with plenty of seating. There are also tons of beach toys, chairs, umbrellas, etc. We will definitely be booking here again if available during our next visit!

Host was very responsive. Area absolutely perfect everyone in my family had something to do, swim, bike, skateboard, rollerblade or just walk. The boardwalk filled with people. Great for people watching. Ocean view from balcony was amazing. Beds were comfortable and clean. Cons: tiny garage. Mid size suv barely made it. The basic home was clean (beds floors countertops, but all the windows facing the water were broken and the outside of the building was kind of dated in need of upkeep. More pros: close to everything San Diego zoo La Jolla cove too many to list Overall was a wonderful time in a family oriented safe environment. Mission Beach is definitely where it’s at

This board walk property fit my expanded family perfectly. My family and I (8 of us) have been staying on the boardwalk for our annual January staycation for the past 10 years. We have stayed in a couple different properties and this one was the best price and fit. We do all our own cooking, the kitchen was well equipped, and big enough to fit a few people. There was plenty of seating at the dining room table and the living room. There’s a wonderful area outside to sit that is elevated above the boardwalk so you can see everything, everyone and the beautiful sunsets. There were only two drawbacks that I can think of, but definitely not deal breakers. The unit above, if there’s people in it, can be very noisy. The gals that stayed above us were relatively quiet, but we could hear chairs moving and toilet flushing. The other thing was that the windows were not cleaned before our visit. One of the perks this place has is the tandem garage. Parking at the beach is at a premium and hard to find at times. I was able to fit my SUV, with a little help from my friends, and all of our bikes were secured inside. Overall, my family and I have a greed that we will be staying here again!

This place was an absolute perfect getaway. We’ve stayed at a few different spots along Mission Beach and the entire family agreed this one was the best. The patio that sits right along the boardwalk certainly was the highlight. San Diego has so much to offer but it felt like we’d be doing ourselves a disservice to leave the beach house, so instead we enjoyed the tranquility of watching the waves. Aside from the patio/ balcony that were amazing, the house itself was amazing. Many places along Mission Beach feel outdated but that’s not the case here. Beds were amazingly comfortable. The kids loved the bunk beds. Kitchen was perfect for any size family. Plenty of room throughout so nobody feels cramped. Bathrooms were spotless and updated. It was also a pleasant luxury to be able to fit two vehicles in the garage (a rarity for this area).

Love this house for the location and the size for a small family. There are tons of BIG houses that are very pricey in Mission Beach, and that are simply out of our price range. This one was perfect! Good price for an amazing local. We had a few issues, the door code wouldn’t work initially, a smoke detector went off, and hot water was turned off, but all were attended to fairly promptly. The house could use some updating and better cleaning, but overall we were so happy! My family from the Midwest thoroughly enjoyed their time in San Diego.

I would not recommend this location until needed upgrades were made. Many of the windows were broken and screens were not available. We reported this to the property manager the first day of our stay. The screens were not replaced until the last day of our trip. Bathroom wall was cracked and peeling with an odd odor. Windows in the master bath were so old, we could not pull them up and keep them open. This was especially unpleasant due to the warm days. The place had a musty smell probable due to the in ability to air it out. The downstairs patio screen door repeatedly kept coming off the track. The kitchen did have salt and pepper and a couple of spices that were so old that they had hardened. The faucet to the sink was broken. Several of the bathroom sinks were cracked. Very few amenities were available in the kitchen. Probable the worse part of the whole experience was the very narrow garage. It was very difficult getting in and out of it. Needless to say we will not be returning. I'm very disappointed in VBRO as well as the host for such a poor representation of this property on the web page.

We have been going to Mission Beach every year for years. We used to stay at one place that ended up being turned into a condo. Since then, we have been bouncing from house to house trying to find another permanent spot and this one is currently at the top of the list! Beautiful home and quick communication with property manager when something was wrong.

Close enough to the ocean to listen to the waves as you fall asleep, and still very close to everything we had on our agenda (Pacific Beach, Mission Bay, Downtown). One thing we all noticed was just how comfortable the beds were, really soft sheets and it never got too hot or too cold. Parking was just slightly tighter than expected, but still not a big deal. There is rust, but it doesn’t affect the stay at all, the house is still very very clean. All in all this is the best house we’ve stayed at in San Diego.
