We really enjoyed our stay at this home. The home is as lovely as the photo’s depict. The view from the patio area is amazing - we saw dolphins swimming just off shore several of the mornings during our stay. We really enjoyed being able to park in the garage, and have access to the house through the garage. There were plenty of beach chairs, umbrella, towels, and a beach bag for heading to the beach. We loved the beach trail which is literally steps from the home, and walked this trail most days during our stay. The pier can be accessed from the beach trail - just over a half mile walk, and the restaurant there had amazing breakfasts, and the best Halibut! The only hiccup we had was a problem with the fridge not cooling well, but the property manager was great to try to get this resolved. The owner even allowed us to used their personal fridge in the garage while they tried to fix the fridge. We would definitely recommend this home, and would stay here again.

Peaceful and Relaxing. We had a great vacation in perhaps the nicest home on the beach. Mom called it a complete palace. Despite the train which runs along the beach, the windows and doors are largely soundproof. We left the windows open at night to listen to the waves put us to sleep. The kids all slept through the night

We were stunned by the beautiful views of the sea from the dining room, kitchen, living room and master bedroom! The house is Just lovely throughout, and thoughtfully supplied with everything you could possibly want. The kitchen is very well equipped which made meal prep a breeze! We all even enjoyed washing dishes because the ocean view from the sink was so incredible! From the house and deck we watched schools of fish travel along the surf with dolphins, sea lions, diving pelicans and many other sea birds. The beach is clean, long and lovely to walk along. Our two teenaged grandchildren loved body surfing, even in December! The owners responded immediately when we reported a minor issue. This house has many amenities that are rarely found in other comparable rental properties.

Well designed liaving aqnd bedroom areas; maximized the amazing ocean views and the ability to hear the roar of the ocean. Lots of towels, sheets, etc. - easy to use appliances. Nice touch with the motorized awnings. The putdoor (and indoor) dining tables easily sat all 6 of us and could have comformtably accommodated a few more. As withh all coean based facilities, there is the need for constant upkeep. On the whole, this home is doing quite well.

The house is amazing, location couldn't be better. Beth was so easy to communicate with. I cook for the love of cooking and for my work and the kitchen was very well organized, incredibly well supplied, and to cook overlooking the ocean - doesn't get better than that! As others have said, the trains aren't an issue at all. Very well insulated windows, and there's a gorgeous charm of seeing the trains as you look out onto the ocean. We fished, surfed, swam, walked, boogie boarded and saw dolphins, all right in front of the house - I would return in a heartbeat. Thank you, Beth!

We loved the house! The pictures were right on. Very comfortable. Stocked with everything you could possibley need. Sat on the back deck every morning and evening. The beach was a short walk away. We brought two carts we bought at costco loaded the beach stuff in one and grandbabies in the other. The train noise was a little bit overwhelming first night but soon forgot it was there. Lovely house I will be back! Mahalo

The home is beautiful and very inviting - surrounding areas are wonderful. If you love the ocean and beach the view is 2nd to none. Sunsets amazing. Restaurants are almost all good in the area. So easy to go to San Diego, LA, or the endless beaches to the North or South. If you need to relax and want to sit on a wonderful beach without the crowds come here!

This is a beautiful home on a quiet street with crashing waves serving as continuous, lovely background noise. The property is exactly as depicted in the photos and description (better, actually) and the booking process was quick and efficient thanks to the owner's prompt response to my inquiry. Any information we needed about our stay was provided prior to our check-in date, and everything was just as expected when we arrived. The house is clean and airy with a large kitchen area that is stocked with any and all cooking tools one would need for any occasion. It’s also just a quick drive to restaurants in town or neighboring Dana Point. I should stress that the view and sound of the ocean from the entire back side of the house is just astounding, so staying/ordering in, at this house in particular, may be the better option. The beds are comfy and bathrooms are nice, especially the large master bath, with open living areas great for relaxing. I really couldn’t have been more pleased with our stay, and despite it being just my husband and me, I will check the availability of this property first when I book our next visit a few months from now.

This home’s combination of amenities and proximity to the beach can’t be beat. From the long deck that fronts the house you have views up and down the coast for miles. And from inside the home, large windows that run along the length of the house offer fantastic white-water views of the waves rolling into shore. There are few homes in San Clemente as close to the beach as this one. There’s nothing between you and the sand except for some railroad tracks that carry the occasional commuter train, which actually adds to the charm of the setting. And it’s only a 15-minute walk along the sand to the pier area, which is home to a couple of good restaurants. The house itself is extremely well kept and the gourmet kitchen has every conceivable cooking item you could need. The house is also loaded with multiple TVs and a great sound system, and the owners provide all the umbrellas, chairs, towels and boogie boards a family needs to enjoy the beach. We found the owners pleasant to deal with and quick to respond to our needs. A minor problem that cropped up on our first night was dealt with immediately. We have stayed in many San Clemente homes during vacations there over the past 35 years and none of them come close to this one.

This property was as beautiful as the pictures posted on VRBO. The ocean view from the deck was awesome, the sunsets amazing, and access to the beach was very convenient. The San Clemente Pier was in walking distance on a nice path. It was close to Disneyland which the grandkids so enjoyed and they also loved the trains that went by every day. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you might need. The owners were always available if we needed anything or had any questions. It was a wonderful week and we hated to leave. We would absolutely come back!!!

We were lucky enough to spend a month in this paradise. Our expectations were high and they were exceeded. The beachfront location not only provides the soothing backdrop of rolling waves but also allows for regular sightings of dolphins, seals and gray whales right from the deck. The views from this home are breathtaking at all times of the day. The beach trail which is right in front of the house is great for running, cycling and walking. San Clemente is ideally situated for exploring all around Southern California. The home itself has everything - a well-equipped kitchen, very comfortable beds, a gorgeous fireplace, motorized awnings, a spotless hot tub, luxurious beach towels - and a smart floor plan that provides space and privacy. Beth is thorough, professional and responsive. Our experience really was perfect in every way.

We had such a wonderful time at this lovely home! We came with our adult children for a family wedding and Beth could not have been more accommodating to our needs. My family and I had the most enjoyable time this August at this wonderful home. It was so well equipped which made our stay so comfortable. The home is so lovely and the views are so fabulous.Eating outside on the patio while looking out at the ocean and watching the dolphins was the BEST!! This home has everything you could possibly need, from books to beach chairs and beach towels, and plenty of them. The weather was amazing, so that really was a plus. Also I might add the beds were so comfortable and that means a lot. can't wait to return.

Coming from a land locked state, I could have stayed all day in this house just for the views alone. But a quick walk takes you to beautiful beaches. The San Clemente pier and the Amtrak station are a short hike up the bike/pedestrian path. Although there's plenty to do in the neighborhood, when you're home, you have a private secluded enclave, right on the shore in busy Southern California. This home is very tastefully decorated, the air conditioning is very effective, and the vaulted ceilings add a nice sense of spaciousness. And the ocean views...ah, the ocean views.

My husband and I and our 4 grown children were able to spend a week here over New Year's. What an absolutely wonderful experience! The house was exactly the right size for our group and had everything that we needed...and more. We enjoyed walking the beach and the beach path, surfing, hiking. It was all so easily accessible. Even the grocery store is within reasonable walking distance. I cannot say enough about how wonderful it was to sit on the deck (or in the hot tub) and listen to the seals barking in the distance and see the dolphins swimming by right in front of you. The location of this property is ideal as well. Being in a small gated community, it felt very private and quiet, yet it was very easy to get to other places to explore. The Temecula wine country is within an hour as is good shopping and serious mountain hiking. We would definitely recommend this property to those who want the feeling of staying in a home with the luxury and comfort of high-end amenities. The owners were wonderful to deal with! We hope to return.

Great Stay - Didn't Want to Leave!

My daughter and I stayed at the house for a 6 day vacation at the end of August (2013) and we had a FANTASTIC stay. (others had planned to come with us but had to cancel) It’s a beautiful home and an amazing location - we couldn't have asked for any better; we both felt very very spoiled being there! If you are looking for a laid back “California Beach Town” experience this is definitely the house and location for you. I will note, if you are looking for high energy beach resort experience this may not be what you would like. However, there is without a doubt plenty to see and do if you choose; you can choose to do nothing at all and soak the ocean in if that is your thing. We took it all in - the house and decks, the beach, and sunsets (amazing!) Even the train was kinda cool (it comes by several times a day, but you only hear it for a few seconds as it’s a very short train – it did not bother us one bit). We watched surfers, dolphins, and of course pelicans and other birds. People watching was great, too! We hit the surf and got our exercise walking to and from the pier and other places on the beach. We rode the bikes (bikes provided by the owners) and that was great. Be ready for some hills! (unless you ride on the path along the beach). It’s an overall beautiful setting and a peaceful neighborhood. We actually didn't use the hot-tub/spa any, but I did sit out on the deck at night sometimes. The town of San Clemente is a great little Southern California town, and has most any amenity you might need for a relaxing week, to include full service grocery stores, shops, and restaurants. We went out one evening to walk and browse and take in one of the restaurants and had a great time. We didn’t stay out for any nightlife, but there were places open later with live music. The owner(s) were quite personable and accommodating. We never met them, and I only communicated with Beth, but she was always quick to respond to my questions and was friendly, courteous and dependable. The house was immaculate had everything we needed and was as advertised and MORE. The kitchen setup and grill made cooking easy, the beds were very comfortable, and relaxing on the deck or watching a movie later made for a perfect accent. I will note that neither of us had dependable cell service at the house (the Sprint network)-that was simply my “signal” to unplug. OH – and the photos don’t do it justice! I would definitly stay at this house again!!

We had very high expecattions for our vacation based upon the pictures posted and the other reviews listed and all i can say is every expectation was exceeded. The views are truly remarkable, as the firts night e sat on the deck and watched the dolphins swim amongst the surfers. Sleeping to the sound sof the ocean was relaxing to say the least. The house was immaculate, with every thing you could think of or need being provided . The owners were very gracious and accomodating and the descriptionsprovided on the website were accurate, if not understated. The house if perfect for families and those using walkers , as the single story layout was very easy to get around for my wife who uses a walker. Our family is already looking forward to returning next year. An incredible house and view that exceeded our expectations in every way.
