About this cottage rental
2 bedroom , 1 bathroom remodeled and conveniently located to Cape Charles Historic District and Kiptopeke State Park. Short walk to Kiptopeke State Park which offers a beach area, fishing pier, boat ramp, kayak rentals, playground and walking for the whole family. Home includes large covered deck, washer and dryer, microwave,stove, toaster oven and Refrigerator. Also Heat and air. One bedroom has queen bed, 2nd bedroom has full size bed and 2 twin bunk beds. 2 cat napper electric reclining sofas. One electric recliner ( for renters with pets please add a cover on furniture for pets that shed).

Such a nice and comfortable place to stay! We're spent an amazing week in August 2025 at the house, there's everything you need. So close to Kiptopeke State Park or Cape Charles beaches. Beautiful location, want to come back once again. Happy with this choice! The house's owner is very friendly and kind person, easy to contact.

I stayed here alone to fish at the Kiptopeke State Park and at nearby Wise Point. Had a great time at the cottage. The host Rufus was excellent, providing clear and accurate check in instructions and helpful information. The cottage was very clean and adequately equipped. I will return again. Tom Faisant.

We like this rental because of the close proximity to the beach, it is somewhat private, its nice to have central air, and a washer/dryer.

The ability to bike right into the park is awesome. It was easy to keep our bikes sheltered on the covered porch. The sofas were very comfortable and allowed everyone to recline. The owner is very kind and was genuinely feeling bad about the issues we faced, which I believe he was unaware of and would have fixed if possible. He also was willing to partially refund, which we appreciate. The wifi was a Hotspot that was not working/battery expanded and not fixable. This was challenging with 6 of us and not able to use devices we had planned on, especially on a rainy weekend. Also the AC was not working at all, only the heat. Even opening windows was not ideal due to allergies, the road noise of 13, security, etc. Just one of these 2 issues- if known to not be working prior- would have been a disqualifier for us choosing to rent the property. The price was high for the accommodations. Other negatives were poor water pressure in the shower, notable foundational issues with the home (large cracks in the floor corner, soft spots in the floors) and loose sink and shower hardware. There is also very limited storage space for guests. We appreciate coffee pods and creamer provided, however on waking to use them realized they were all expired. We appreciated the provided washing machine detergents, and otherwise well stocked kitchen. The beds were uncomfortable, and the lower bunk caused even my child to hit her head several times sitting up. Many many live and dead stink bugs
