We had a wonderful family vacation! The house is laid out perfectly for early risers as well as those who like to sleep in. Our hosts have thought of everything! The kitchen is well supplied, there are plenty of linens, board games, bicycles, and beach chairs. The town of Cape Charles is nearby for shopping, dining out, or the kid’s favorite, ice cream! We brought our kayaks and were delighted to see the concrete shops up close, pelicans, and dolphins! The beach was not at all crowded, the sand soft, the water great for swimming and splashing!

Absolutely a pleasure, probably the best-stocked house we have ever stayed in. The fishing and weather fantastic and a joy to return home to this beautiful house. It's such a well laid out and comfortable home.

You can’t go wrong with this rental property. We stayed a week with five adults, one seven year old, and two dogs. There was plenty of room in this spacious well-appointed very clean home. Many fun choices were provided like corn hole, Ping Pong, crabbing, beach supplies, board games, etc. There’s is a terrific grill and fire pit as well. Kiptopeke State Park and beach is only a mile down the road. It is well-managed well maintained and beautiful. The hospitality offered by the hosts was exceptional… as was the communications. We particularly enjoyed the well equipped kitchen and the relaxing screened porch. We will definitely return! Like I said… you can’t go wrong.

My family and I visited the Cape Charles area the 2nd week of July. The Cape Charles retreat was the perfect place to stay. The home was very spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. A basket of snacks was waiting for us when we arrived, which the kids thoroughly enjoyed. There was a ping pong table in the game room that saw a lot of friendly competition. The screened-in porch was the perfect place to enjoy listening to the birds in the early mornings. The hosts were very responsive and accommodating. They provided a lot of extras that we really appreciated. Such as, beach chairs and towels, a pack-n-play, bikes and toiletries to name a few. We really enjoyed our time there. It was a great place to visit to reconnect with family and relax. Many thanks to our hosts for sharing their home with us!
