About this apartment rental
Beautiful, all seasons, 1700 square foot, Harbor Springs condominium. Harbor Cove Complex is located on Little Traverse Bay right between downtown Harbor Springs and Petoskey. All owners and renters have access to a gorgeous one mile private beach and beach house. Complex contains both a brand new indoor pool and hot tub with pool house as well as a heated outdoor swimming pool. The property contains hiking trails that back up to a large nature preserve. Harbor Cove is located on a biking trail that runs from Charlevoix to Harbor Springs. The complex offers tennis courts, pickle ball courts and a small play structure for children. Harbor Cove is a short four mile drive from Nubs Nob and Boyne Highlands ski resorts.
Master bedroom/bathroom has been newly refinished with new log king-size bedroom set and contains a fireplace and TV. Three bedrooms on second floor with two sets of bunk beds in one room and two full beds in the another room. Additional room with a full sized bed and dresser. Large spacious open living with stone fireplace that opens up to a deck with outdoor seating and table and chairs for outdoor dining.
Renters will have use of 6 beach chairs, an umbrella as well as sand toys.

This condo in Harbor Cove is an excellent place to stay. The condo was clean and had everything you needed for a vacation get-away. The new indoor swimming pool and club house is really nice, and the outdoor swimming pool looks great (not open because they were finishing installing the outside railing), as well. The private sand beach was clean and also has a new club house. We are look forward to renting this place again.

Great stay at this property in Harbor Cove. Clean, well maintained condo. Beach chairs and umbrella that came with unit were awesome and very much needed.
Recommend this unit for large families or groups! My only small critique is that there is only one master bedroom with larger bed (first floor). So if you have another adult couple sleeping upstairs - it is not a super comfortable bed (small and not much support) for sleeping 2 adults in same bed (full size bed and only ikea mattress top). But hey - you are on vacation and it is lake life - so not really a big deal. But just FYI.

If it weren't for the facilities at Harbor Cove I would have given this condo a 2 star. The condo is in major need of renovation! My family liked the large kitchen table, the stone fireplace, the pictures and the master bedroom was ok. The rest of the house felt like a college rental. What was there was functional but worn out and/or didn't match. I have stayed in several rentals and all had that "wow" factor that let you know you were on vacation. Those rentals were also in the same price range as this condo.
As you walk in you're greeted by a brown indoor/outdoor carpet and an uneven floor around the steps. The kitchen is from 1990. Above the ceiling is only half painted. The couches are well broken in. Upstairs is no different. The bathroom has yellow faded linoleum which I think used to be white. The toilet runs non stop and the shower door falls off everytime you move it. In many places the wallpaper is faded or torn. In the bunk room the beds are placed in a way that restricts access to one of the windows and the closet. There is a TV upstairs...but no cables to make it work. During our stay it was rather warm so the fans were nice as the upstairs gets very warm.
With all that negative being said, my family did have a great time in the area and Harbor cove. The private beach was great! It was not crowded and very beautiful. The outdoor and indoor pools were also great. I've never been in such a warm heated outdoor pool. The hot tub and sauna were also nice. The grilling stations around the condo and pool were convenient and well taken care of.
The location was perfect sorted in between Harbor Springs and Petoskey. There is also several other nearby attractions that are easy to get to. Almost every drive is scenic to boot.
This condo has a lot of potential but for the price it needs serious renovations! There are others that that are updated and very nice for around the same price or cheaper.
