About this cottage rental
This newly purchased home has had several updates including new painting and furnishing. This comfortable and quiet home has two living areas, a sunny kitchen, sitting room and screened in porch. Bedrooms include a king size bed, queen bed and a bunk bed for kids. Bathrooms are both equipped with full size showers. We could not have asked for a better place to stay while visiting Acadia National Park. The house was lovely, clean, well equipped, furnished nicely and conveniently located. Loved being able to walk down to the water, watching deer grazing around the yard, and winding down by the fire after a fun day of exploring.

This is a spacious, beautiful property in a quiet, lovely spot, but also a very quick drive to downtown SWH. The sunroom is a particularly nice spot for hanging out or dining. Great views. The path to the oceanfront area can be a little tricky if you’re not used to clambering on rocks, but well worth it. (Would not recommend for anyone with mobility issues). Clean and beautiful recently renovated kitchen and bathroom. We hope to return.

Location and views were great! The overall impression of the house, it was spacious and had a nice patio. However the house smelled musty and damp. We noticed mold in multiple places, including bathrooms, ceiling in bedroom and on the old couches. The area underneath the master bed was filthy. I am sure it was a beautiful and well kept home at some point, e. g. Nice China and glass ware , homey vibes, however a lot is old and not well functioning, especially the bathrooms. Anyone with allergies to mold and dust should not stay in this home.
