Private access to beach, ocean view and minutes from Acadia National Park

We highly recommend this property. What a gem of a cottage! Our family enjoyed the private beach, proximity to Southwest harbor, and access to Acadia Natl Park. Whitney and Dan were great hosts, and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. The house was the perfect home base after touring the park; it was well equipped with all the comforts of home and even has a little play area that our elementary-aged children enjoyed. Bathrooms and kitchen are nicely updated. Our daily walks to the beach were a special highlight. We loved the views outside the windows that include a beautiful meadow with deer, and the ocean just beyond. We couldn’t have hoped for a better experience!

This house in Manset near SW Harbor is a great location to explore the Quietside of MDI and all the Acadia National Park has to offer. The house is on a short private road and it is a quick walk down through the woods to a beautiful rocky beach area. There is plenty of room inside the house and the kitchen has been updated. It was a buggy and hot time of year while we were there but still enjoyable. Our 2 kids and dog had space to play inside and out and communication with the host was very easy.

Great location to Acadia and Bar Harbor. Our family of 7 had plenty of room. The short walk to the beach in the morning and evening was perfect. We will definitely be back.

Location and views were great! The overall impression of the house, it was spacious and had a nice patio. However the house smelled musty and damp. We noticed mold in multiple places, including bathrooms, ceiling in bedroom and on the old couches. The area underneath the master bed was filthy. I am sure it was a beautiful and well kept home at some point, e. g. Nice China and glass ware , homey vibes, however a lot is old and not well functioning, especially the bathrooms. Anyone with allergies to mold and dust should not stay in this home.
