About this house rental
Chalet Mogliette is an idyllic 5 bed chalet (sleeps up to 12), less than 6 min drive to Ardent lift station or to Pleney and Nyon lift stations in Morzine, all with easy access to the Portes du Soleil expanse of skiing covering 650km of runs and 201 lift systems in France and Switzerland.
Situated in the quiet hamlet of Dravachet, close to Lac du Montriond, this stunning chalet looks over a green blanket of trees and river. An easy 1.15 hr drive from Geneva airport and a close 5 min drive to the expanding nightlife of Morzine. Ideal for winter skiing and snowboarding or summer hiking, mountain biking and other alpine sports.
Family owned, Chalet Mogliette oozes calm and homeliness to de-stress and get away from it all. A toasty log burner in winter or large BBQ in summer for the pyromaniacs. In summer the large deck makes for easy al fresco breakfast, lunch and dinner. The nearby lake has canoes and SUPs for hire in the summer and is a 10 min walk from the chalet. Lac du Montriond has some fantastic restaurants along its beautiful perimeter walk. The children's shallow lake and playground area also provide a perfect picnic location.
The ground floor consists of ski cupboard with sledges (the field opposite is amazing), 2 double rooms with ensuite showers, 2 bunk rooms, separate bath/WC and another WC. Upstairs is a family room with double bed and 2 singles complete with separate bathroom.
Down stairs leads to an open plan living area with kitchen, WC, laundry with condenser dryer, extra large dining table, and a large L-shaped sofa and day bed to chill. Broadband and Apple TV are downstairs, with a separate games console upstairs allowing for some downtime for all ages, along with an array of family games.
Two large Carrefour supermarkets are only a 5 min drive down the valley or a 5 min drive into Morzine, alternatively, a smaller local supermarket is situated in Montriond should you prefer a 3 min drive or 15 min walk along the beautiful river. Montriond has a wonderful tabac, pizza restaurant, general store and excellent ski hire shop.
A car is recommended, to make best use of the chalets beautiful location.
