About this apartment rental

This is an ocean front condo. We also own the property, in the same building, that is right next door (VRBO/Home Away # 572846). We initially bought this property so we would have a place on the ocean to come with our children and grandchildren. Each property has 3 bedrooms and 2 baths as well as an adjoining hallway in between. What is unique to this property is, along with the 300 sq. ft. exclusive use ocean front patio, it has a private garden terrace to the back with barbecue. Two of the bedrooms have doors to access the terrace. These two bedrooms can be closed off from the rest of the condo for privacy. This property is perfect for two couples or family of four with grandma and grandpa.

We have just completed a remodel of the kitchen and bathrooms as of May 2024. There are two masters, each with king beds and a third bedroom with twin beds.

Our place is located just minutes from SeaWorld, San Diego Zoo, Balboa Park, Downtown San Diego, Seaport Village and the airport. It is a short drive to Legoland and Safari Park.

The condo has a fully-equipped kitchen, central A/C, wireless high speed internet.Washer and dryer inside the unit. There is an exclusive parking space for one car and guest parking.

It is a southern CA classic....cliffs, rocks, beach and pier. Walk to all or view from your condo.

This is an ocean front condo. We also own the property, in the same building, that is right next door (VRBO/Home Away # 572846). My wife our 2 adult sons and myself booked this trip for my wife’s birthday and bonus it was Mother’s Day weekend as well we couldn’t of had a better time.Donna was fantastic very responsive and professional The home is beautiful, the neighborhood was perfect,the beach is literally steps away to a great beach and the coast line. great food and drinks are blocks away.Next time we probably would not leave the neighborhood or the house to be honest So much to do around there..Thank you Donna hope to stay again soon

The view from the back patio is unmatched! The only thing I think you need to be prepared for is the sketchy alley entrance. The property is located in OB (Ocean Beach) and it is filled with an eclectic scene of interesting people.

This property is what you dream about when wanting to do a California vacation. It is right on top of the Santa Cruz cliffs and has the most amazing view! There’s access down to the beaches and cliffs where so many locals lay out, take their dogs, run and surf. There are no words for how amazing it was. The condo itself was also beautiful. Very clean and well kept, super comfortable beds, great bathrooms. It felt so light and airy. Donna the host is also amazing. (How many times can I say amazing in one review?) She was so quick at responses and so helpful to anything we needed. I want to go back immediately and take my son so he can also experience this amazing place. Thank you, Donna!!

The Wednesday farmer’s market is the best I’ve seen. . The owner is quick to respond to questions. The property is maintained to a very high standard. As soon as we walked into the place, we were all excited. The ocean is literally right there!! We could hear the waves all day and night from the family room and master bedroom. Kitchen was stocked perfect for our needs: spaghetti, breakfasts, pizza, taco night. We could not ask for a better place. We walked everyday and really enjoyed going down the coast (away from OB) and were in walking distance to restaurants and bars heading into OB. We saw dolphins about every other day. Highly recommend!!

The photos don't do justice to the beautiful view from the back patio. The condo was newly updated, so everything was pristine and appliances were all new. Check in was very easy and it was great having a parking spot. The unit is within easy walking distance of restaurants and shops in OB. While it may seem private at times, the back patio is shared with 3 other units and the path to beach access runs through here as well. There is no separating fence/divider between the other ground floor unit. Not sure if the upstairs unit is rented out as well, because it was quiet until the last two days of our trip. The last two days we could hear footsteps, furniture scraping across the floor, music, TV, and conversations late at night from upstairs.

The property was nestled on a cliff overlooking the ocean and a small, intimate beach. The backyard patio furniture, including a table and four chairs with umbrella and two rocking chairs and small accent table, allowed the group to spend time on the patio enjoying the views and beautiful sunsets. The property was very clean and well maintained. Views were spectacular from the living room and master bedroom. All rooms were spacious. The master bedroom had a nice walk in closet with dresser and en-suite bathroom was spacious and offered a nice shower, jetted tub, and double vanity. The beds were especially comfortable. Overall a great experience.

Our stay was wonderful. The condo is immaculate and beautifully appointed. There were little touches in every room that added to the stay and made it feel like home. The location was perfect. A short walk into OB and an even shorter walk out the back door to stunning cliffs, the ocean and a nightly sunset. It was a perfect place to bring three generations together.

Great walkable location. Beautifully updated. You do share the ocean front patio with the neighboring condo but it was not a big deal, you have plenty of furniture and space. We made sure the gates and doors around the property were always locked and felt safe. I brought way too much stuff, they have everything we could have wanted or needed here, full hand soap, laundry soap, foil, bags, plenty of dish wear, towels, bedding etc. Well thought out and comfortable.

Our family of 5 enjoyed our week long vacation here and couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. The condo recently went under renovations and upgrades and is absolutely beautiful! The beautiful views from our patio and going to sleep each night hearing the ocean waves made us not want to leave the condo. We had a great time visiting the sites in San Diego but also enjoyed relaxing back at the condo each night. We would choose to stay here again in a heartbeat should we be back in the San Diego area in the future. Many fun memories were made! Thank you to the owner, Donna for being so responsive. This gated property is situated directly on the beach above a gorgeous cove. The sound of the waves pounding on the beach is heavenly. We saw surfers, porpoises, and every kind of watercraft imaginable. We even watched a fisherman setting crab traps with their blinking red and blue markers. The sunsets were stunning with unobstructed views. Airplanes do fly over on their way out of the airport, but they aren't loud at all. The airport limits the hours they are allowed to take off so that there are no planes going over during the night. The patio area is relaxing and well-landscaped. As others have mentioned, the underground garage is a bit tight to manuver in, but it's good knowing the car is completely secure behind a locked gate and not accessible to the public. There were four people in our party. We were all very comfortable and agree we would definitely stay there again if we get the chance.

This condo can't be beat! We sat on the patio in January and watched the ocean waves, but had privacy from the people down on the rocks. Oh, and the sunsets! Walking distance to wonderful restaurants in Ocean Beach and the Wednesday Farmers Market. Easy drive to the airport, Balboa Park, beach communities, Torrey Pines; anywhere. We didn't meet Donna in person but she communicated everything we needed to know in a timely manner. The place was clean, well-kept, and safe. Just plan on a grocery run when you first arrive.

We are familiar with OB already but we don’t live in San Diego anymore. Coming here to stay is the perfect landing pad- walking distance to everything, waking up to coffee on the ocean and a having a fireplace for Christmas morning- we couldn’t ask for a better experience. This VRBO was perfect! I wanted a clean place in a convenient location with a view of the ocean and this exceeded expectations. We enjoyed watching and listening to the waves and walking down to the cove and also seeing all of the activity from our patio! Each evening we loved watching the sunset--truly magical! The condo was so clean and comfortable and all six of us adults felt like there was plenty of space for all of us. The kitchen had everything we needed. The location was perfect and we were able to walk the beach as well as go to the farmer's market, good restaurants, breweries and shops. I would definitely book this place again! Thank you to Donna for all of the extra help she gave us and for being so accommodating and quick with responses!
