About this house rental

This is not Providenciales (Provo).

From your deck, you’ll see more constellations than city lights. Far Away Villa isn’t ocean-front – it’s universe-front, perched above the turquoise surf with direct access to the breathtaking Mudjin Harbour Beach below.

At Far Away Villa, you’re on Middle Caicos, surrounded by cliffs, wildlife, turquoise surf, and trails that lead to secret beaches.

THE SPACE
Step outside and you’re already on the Crossing Place Trail, exploring the unspoiled heart of the Turks and Caicos… the side most travellers never see.

Just a short ferry ride from Provo, you’ll discover the authentic islands of North and Middle Caicos, where world-class sport fishing, hidden coves, and endless horizons call.

After a day of exploring, unwind on your private deck where the trade winds blow and the night sky reveals a billion stars. Far Away Villa blends modern comfort with the wild beauty surrounding it… the perfect place to rest, reflect, and recharge.

Far Away Villa is for travellers who want to slow down. Our modern island home sits high above the ocean, surrounded by windswept coastal brush with horizon-to-horizon views of turquoise water and Dragon Cay, the dragon-shaped rocky island that forms the centrepiece of Mudjin Harbour Cove. You’ll wake to the sound of waves below and end each day on the deck watching colours shift across the Atlantic. The stargazing here is unforgettable… every guest mentions it.

Inside, you’ll find airy rooms cooled by ocean breezes and ceiling fans throughout, or quiet air conditioning when you prefer it. The kitchen is fully equipped for real cooking, with quality cookware, bottled drinking water, and a few pantry basics to get you started. The villa includes free Wi-Fi suitable for streaming or remote work, a Smart TV, washer and dryer, iron and ironing board, hair dryers, beach towels, beach chairs, sun umbrellas, and a cooler; everything you need to feel at home.

It's an 8- to 10-minute walk to Mudjin Harbour Beach, with direct access via the neighbourhood footpath. You’ll also be close to the Mudjin Bar & Grill, Dragon Cay overlook, and the Crossing Place Trail, yet far enough from everything to hear only the surf and the soft rustle of the trade winds in the bushes.

If you’re looking for nightlife, shopping, or crowds, this isn’t your place. But if you want peace, endless stars, and that rare feeling of being truly away, you’ve found it.

Far Away Villa is a bright, open two-bedroom home designed for comfort and calm. Both bedrooms have queen beds, high-quality linens, and ensuite bathrooms. The main living area opens to two outdoor spaces; a spacious back deck shaded by a pergola where dappled sunlight filters through as the breeze keeps you cool, and a covered front porch with panoramic views of Mudjin Harbour and Dragon Cay, where waves sometimes crash dramatically over the cay.

Both spaces are furnished with comfortable teak seating, perfect for morning coffee or a glass of wine at sunset. Free parking is available on site, plus a cool-water outdoor shower that’s perfect for rinsing off and cooling down after a day at the beach.

We hope you’ll fall in love with this place the way we did, where the sunrise takes your breath away, the beach is a short walk away, and the night sky is your window on the universe.

GUEST ACCESS
You’ll have the entire villa to yourselves, along with access to the community footpath that leads directly to Mudjin Harbour Beach, one of the most photographed beaches in the Caribbean. Guests often spend hours there sunbathing, swimming, beachcombing, or hiking the Crossing Place Trail.

Our trusted housekeeper, Roselaine, will have the home spotlessly clean for your arrival and can drop by during your stay if you’d like. We live here each winter and look after the villa ourselves to keep everything in good working order.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE
Getting here is part of the adventure! You’ll fly into Providenciales (PLS), then take the short ferry to North Caicos and drive about 30 minutes to Middle Caicos. Our Far Away Villa website has step-by-step directions and contacts for car rentals and ferry bookings.
Middle Caicos is quiet, safe, and beautifully undeveloped… that’s its charm. You won’t find nightlife, big resorts, or crowds here, just endless sky, the rhythm of the sea, and the Milky Way the way it was meant to be seen.

Clean, everything worked, very nice hostess, responding to us by email. We’ve stayed there at least two other times; each time good. Our favorite place to stay in Middle Caicos.

The Far Away villa is one of the best VRBO homes we’ve ever been to - it has everything you’ll need to enjoy your stay. Beds were comfortable and the bathrooms are clean and modern. We always cook for ourselves, and the kitchen is incredibly well appointed (including everything you’d need for cooking and baking, as well as basic spices and Tupperware containers for leftovers). I can’t comment on the price/availablility of restaurants or groceries (we brought everything we’d need for the three days we were there); there are definitely stores along the way as you drive in from North Caicos but I have no idea about quality, selection or prices. There are some essentials that have been thoughtfully provided like sunscreen, beach towels, and a very large bottle of drinking water (the size that would sit atop a water dispenser). There’s a good selection of DVDs, as well as some streaming services. Dragon Cay is quiet and restful; swimming out by ‘the dragon’ and on the ‘secret beach’ was fantastic (lots of good waves, which our 20 and 22-year old boys enjoyed) and we managed to do some snorkelling on one of the calmer days. We drove out to the Conch Bar caves but decided not to tour ($30 USD pp, according to the gentleman who approached us). Bambara Beach is lovely (calm and very shallow water is great for small kids) and there were very few people there. Valerie (host) was super-responsive through the VRBO app and very helpful about returning some items we left behind.
