Historic cabin living. Great way to get away from the internet to fish, boat, paddle board, do family walks, and play chess. Perfect location and connection to both Grand Lake and Shadow Mountain while on the private water front property. Our host, David was responsive and informative. Thank you we had a great time. Weather was perfect. Food was great family priceless only small detail if two of the rooms had queen beds would that would be great. We will be back.

This 1905 summer home sits on an incomparable perch on the corner of Grand Lake and the canal between Grand Lake and Shadow Mountain Réservoir. We kayaked, we ran and we hiked, but we also spent countless hours on the screen porch overlooking the water enjoying the hummingbirds, osprey, sky, water, mountain views, changing light and winds, and the passing boat traffic. There is also a boat house with a deck right on the lake where we spent many hours enjoying the lake and mountains. We walked 15 min to downtown bakery with our dog most mornings and had breakfast at a picnic table overlooking the lake. We cooked out on the charcoal grill several evenings. Everything is old and the beds are a little soft, but we were charmed. The price is high, especially taking a dog, but it was worth it.
