Pine Marten Bar Glenmore Treehouse

Everything. I stay here a few times a year and just love it. The staff are wonderful, as is the location.

Too far from where I live 🤣

A lovely, warm lodge in a superb location with a five minute walk to the bus stops, bar/cafe and a breathtaking beach. We arrived very late at night due to train delays but were welcomed with a friendly smile and warm welcome. There’s a lovely little shop in the Pine Marten bar so it was great to pick up some milk and breakfast bits the next morning before we did a bigger shop at Tesco in Aviemore. It costs approximately £22 one way to or from Aviemore in a taxi. We did the buses mainly and it was great to find a £2 cap anywhere in the Highlands throughout our stay. Oh and last but by no means least it was both lovely and fascinating to have a tree growing through the middle of the lodge which was encased in glass so you could see the trunk

The mattresses on both bunks (of which are very squeaky on minimal movement) and pull out bed were extremely uncomfortable as they were so hard in our opinion, however this may be preferable for some. The list of facilities on booking.com suggests the property has a washing machine and tumble dryer which sadly it doesn’t and we didn’t pack as many clothes thinking we could wash/dry them while we’re there. We did wonder if there was a laundry we could use in the camping park which was a five minute walk to, however we’re told by one of the Pine Marten bar staff they/the lodge were connected with/affiliated to the park in any way.
