Built above ground this 2 bedroom log cabin has been completely restored and is the perfect place for a romantic stay for two or a fun filled getaway with friends or family. Perfect place to stay for a few days in Fredericksburg. Authentic quaint decor, comfy beds away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to enjoy everything Fredericksburg has to offer

Although there was a king bed in the room attached to the bathroom, I stayed in the room with the queen bed because it overlooked the lovely little garden. The location was close enough to downtown Fredericksburg that it inky took a few minutes to get there, but it was far enough out to avoid the hassle. Everything was very comfortable.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Livery Stable. The rustic atmosphere is exactly what we were hoping for visiting from Florida. We enjoyed sitting on the porch every morning and evening. We’d definitely be back the next time we visit Fredericksburg!

Loved the unique decor. Having 2 bedrooms was great. Very quiet despite being on a busy highway. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the outside deck.and unlike other rentals, the owner provide little amenities such as coffee, creamer, shampoo & and other things. Easy drive to shopping & other activities. Great place for this mom & daughter team to have fun and relax!

Great location, grocery store close by and shopping close too. Needs a good dusting, iron rail on back balcony was not attached to house. Scary moment when we leaned on railing. Never mentioned the steep steps up to the door. All in all, this couldn’t be cuter, convenient and great for pictures. I would stay here again but would ask some questions first.

The Livery Stable was very comfortable and relaxing. My complaint is that I had no idea it was upstairs. I never saw or read that it was upstairs. My friend and I are older and find climbing stairs very difficult. We made it though. We just took them slow and easy. My other complaint is the shower head. I think it needs a good cleaning or replaced. Overall our stay was nearly perfect. We love Fredericksburg and really enjoyed our stay. We will recommend your place to everyone we know.

PLEASE put some lights in the cabin. We have stayed twice and both times I've had the same thought. Over half of the lights doesn't work. The cute Christmas lights in the fireplace don't work, I bought a set and strung them on the outside, hopefully someone took the time to look into why. 2 rolls of toilet paper for 4 days would normally be ok, but sometimes NOT, and wasn't. We love the place, but the outside light going up and down the stairs is almost nonexistent. One LED bulb outside would be GREAT. We didn't have any firewood, or fish food either. Firewood would of been nice a couple of nights, just to be able to sit out under the stars. The fish food, I understand is a little more difficult to have, since some people dont know not to feed the entire container to the fist at one time.

This place is a cool looking place and I would stay again but I would suggest taking the B&B down it is confusing i thought it was went i made reservations. The stairwell is extremely dark even in the day and you cannot see the lock box numbers without a flash light. Then when inside is also very dim we seen several lights that needed to be changed. Two of the door handles come out and need repair. There was a huge chunk of ice that was built up so the frig wasn't working that great. I would suggest taking all the wine bottles out makes it look tacky and from the outside seeing all of them looks like a college frat house. Last just a better cleaning there is dust on the fake plants and on top shelves. The decor is awesome and you do feel like there is some history there. Would be cook if there was a background story about the place. That's all I got. Thank you for the stay.

I rated this place low because of the construction work that started at 7:30-8 in the morning. We were not expecting to hear hammering on the beams of the house1st thing in the morning. We should have been made aware of the work going on before we rented for two days. Other than that, it was a good place to stay. Good location!

My fiancee and I came to Fredericksburg for a conference and his birthday. We picked this place because it was close to the conference center and very cute. Aside from being in the parking lot of a restaurant and guys doing some kind of construction underneath it was a great little spot for what we needed. The style is very well thought out and it was very comfortable.

Cute 2 bedroom property but no place for 4 people to sit and enjoy a glass of wine. The couch is sad and needs to be replaced and the addition of a oversized chair would be welcome. I also do not like to strip beds before I leave.... that is what housekeeping is for. I guess I just did not see the value of what I paid vs amenity received.

If you like history, you will love this place! Technically big enough for six people, but can only accommodate four. I was there with my husband, and it was huge for us. There are small details that I would improve for a five-star experience, but for the price I thought it was amazing! We loved sitting on the deck and looking at the stars at night, and we loved how cool the rooms were even in this Texas heat! All the decorations and history in the building were so cool, and soaking in the tub after a long day of horseback riding, was a relief! (We went riding in Harper, TX, 20 min away) We will definitely stay here again, and bring the kids next time!

The stable is absolutely excellent for the price and had everything we needed. Only complaints are the wasps (they are really bad during the day and there is a nest the size of a baseball on the patio so no morning coffee outside and they attack you when you go up and down the stairs to the property), the unit does get pretty toasty in this heat, but it wasn’t too bad, the shower pressure was pretty poor and kept shutting off. But honestly the worst of it is the wasps. Everything else was great!

Overall, we truly enjoyed the experience and the charm of the cottage. I didn’t mind that it’s located in the parking lot of Mr. Gatti’s, but the dogs barking next door were rather annoying. Cleanliness was fine; however, please invest in a new toilet seat. It would add value to have a clean looking seat.

We had a great time . First time in the area . Scenery was awesome . The stable was everything the picture suggests ,rustic and homey . The bed was excellent and the bath was beautiful . Thanks again Kim for coming to our rescue .

We towed two cars in for the carfest. At first glance I did not know where to park the trailers but after speaking to the owner at Mr. Gatti’s pizza, they allowed us to park our trailers under their covered parking in the back. When I book this listing, we were told that parking wouldn’t be an issue for the trailers, but had I not talked to the Mr. Gatti’s folks, we could have had some inconveniences. All worked out well though. You could hear the pups barking at the shelter, but we have dogs so it wasn’t an issue for us. The A/C stopped cooling the first night, I text Kim and she had someone come out and fix it within the hour! Overall the stay was very nice. The decor of the house was very unique and fit the style of the house perfectly. If we need to tow a trailer up there again, we would definitely look at booking here again.
