About this cottage rental
In Lussault sur Loire in the heart of the Montlouisien vineyards.
Magnificent cottage located in a green setting with an enclosed landscaped garden, the cottage is an old barn completely restored, a real residence of character and charm with its stones and exposed beams.
House founded before 1585 by important figures in the service of the King.
During your stay in our cottages, you will have at your disposal some authentic documents (will of April 6, 1651), copied from the departmental archives of Indre et Loire, plus our personal research.
15 minutes from Tours, close to the Château d'Amboise, the Château de Chenonceau, and the Clos Lucé (Leonardo da Vinci's famous house).
Visit of the Loire Valley Castles in a hot air balloon
A unique and unforgettable adventure, hot air balloon flights take place mainly from April 1st to October 30th, in the morning or late afternoon. Out of season, it is still possible to fly but only in private gondolas of 2 to 5 people.
Flights are mainly from the prestigious sites of Amboise, Chenonceau, Chaumont.
Visit the Castles by plane with the Dierre aerodrome
A three-hectare park is at your disposal to share with Lulu the royal turkey and his companion, a couple of peacocks, a good dozen hens and their rooster who walks there.
If you have bicycles you will find at the end of the park the entrance to the circuit 'la Loire a vélo' for great safe walks.

A really quiet and peaceful location. The local town of Amboise is only 4 miles away, it has 2 markets a week where you can buy most anything and of course the Château Royal d'Amboise is well worth a visit. Other châteaux on the Loire are within easy reach.
The river Loire was well below its normal level (August '22) so no boat trips for us.
If you like white wine then Montlouis is just down the road.
The gîte was clean, tidy, very quiet and has a fridge freezer, ideal for the hot weather we had.

Excellent séjour. Gîte parfait il y a tout ce qu il faut et on s y sent très bien. Les propriétaires sont agréables. Ce lieu est calme et très bien situé pour visiter la région.

Spacious property in a quiet location. Children enjoyed playing in the large garden. Easy access to the Loire a Velo.

For two of us the property was fine but had there been four it would have been difficult in that there was only I sofa and hanging space was limited to a rail downstairs. The property was well equipped but there were no sharp knives. It is ideally situated to visit chateaux in the region and vineyards and it was great to sit out in the grounds in the evening and relax after a busy day. The local railway line has a good service to lager towns in the region.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.
