Excellent stay at a delightful cottage.

The location is excellent and parking was free and easy. The lovely beach is only a minute away and the village two minutes away. Being on the prom, walking is easy and attractive. The cottage is well equipped with modern equipment throughout. It is warm and comfortable and well furnished. The host was friendly, helpful and accommodating.

Stylishly furnished sitting area. Detailed instructions provided in advance. Box of welcome goodies provided - sadly, since our onward travel was to an hotel, we couldn’t use it all!

Dining table and chairs had to be assembled - we didn’t bother and ate on our knees. No dedicated parking - which we knew about, but could be difficult at high season.

Awesome location and facilities had a brilliant time

Location right next to beach. Light and airy feel. Welcome box was awesome. Comfy bed. Nothing missing from facilities, everything you’d ever need. A home from home. Would definitely recommend this beautiful cottage.

Nothing major, small bits of maintenance like broken lock box and blinds and light bulbs needing replaced and some stained plates and glasses in the cupboard.

Beach Cottage Stay

Fabulous position right opposite a beautiful beach with a special window treatment which means that you can see out but passers by can't see in. There are lots of lovely walks close by as well. The property is very well adapted to suit the needs of wheelchair users and the less mobile and is warm, immaculately clean and well equipped - really good powerful shower too.

There are few negatives about Beach Cottage but it could do with a subscription to a wider range of TV channels.

The view of the sea was brilliant . It was a fabulous place to recharge and chill out . Daily walks on the beach without having to drive. Great internet .

The view was amazing and the cottage had everything we needed. The welcome pack was a lovely touch.

Very little really but as a person with limited mobility I would have preferred the bed to be higher and firmer, it was very low and very soft.

Perfect little cottage!

Cottage was fantastic! Our party was my Mum, 85, myself 61 with mobility issues my daughter and for one night, my grandson too. Cottage was fully accessable for me and walking frame. Bathroom and shower disabled friendly, I can 100% recommend! Location perfect, view amazing, we all fell in love with it. Welcome pack was a lovely touch and very thoughtful. Cottage is spotless and well equiped. We hope to be back!

Wonderful place to stay

Beach Cottage is in an ideal position at Spittal Beach right on the sea front. It is clean, well equipped, spacious and a lovely outside sitting area to enjoy watching the sea from. A perfect place to stay with nice walks on the doorstep.

Uncomfortable bed/pillows. Room too noisy to sleep. Has solar panels on roof and cupboard in room making noises like buzzing or kettle being turned on all night. Had to jam door to as kept opening. Not good for sleep

Great place for a couple. lovely position right by the beach comfy and clean and walkable into Berwick as long as you take your time. ideal for travelling around the area by car. just to mention if you are using the train its a bit of a hike

Paradise! fantastic property for a relaxing break.

Whats not to like! Alison provides everything you could need, the cottage is in such a beautiful location I honestly don’t think you could find a more beautiful spot. We saw dolphins every day, some days they were coming amazingly close to shore, it was beautiful to see. We slept well, TV’s in living room and bedroom, good for kids but to be honest all you need for entertainment is the view! Thank you Alison (and Lesley) we had the best time and will be back xxx

The cottage was very comfortable and lived up to the previous high scores. The bedroom is spacious with wardrobe/drawers for storage & a small television. The adapted bathroom is also roomy with the option of a rain shower head. Hot water was plentiful & water pressure good. The kitchen/lounge area has super sea views. There was always a parking space available nearby. Host communication was efficient and helpful . A perfect base for exploring Northumberland .
