The apartment is made up of:

Kitchen: gas hob - fridge – freezer - oven – microwave oven - Nespresso coffee machine – toaster – kettle.
Bathroom: in mosaic, with bath.
Bedroom: large wardrobe, TV, double bed.
Lounge: furnished with sofas, armchairs and other antique furniture.
Dining room: sofa, french table, venetian cabinet.
Terrace with aedicula: 20sq.m. + loggia with pot plants, 16th century marble shell fountain, 14th century decoration on the entrance to the aedicula.
L' Antica Dimora TERRAZZA DE’ MEDICI is situated in the historical centre of Florence, just a stone’s throw from the Ponte Vecchio and the main sights of the city. Elegantly furnished with a rich combination of antique furniture and modern day comforts, the apartment is found on the first floor of a beautiful 15th century building which looks out onto Borgo San Iacopo, a characteristic street which leads to the famous Ponte Vecchio and its boutiques, bars and restaurants. The apartment is 70 sq m and is made up of the entrance, lounge, dining room, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. In addition, there is a wonderful terrace with aedicula, where guests can enjoy a panoramic view over 5 avenues and relax with a cool drink, or have dinner under the moonlit sky. The triangular terrace is closed to one side by a 14th century loggia, known as the “bellosguardo”. It is in fact from here that Francesco I de Medici watched his beloved Bianca Cappello who lived in the building on via Maggio which the Great Duke had built in 1566 by Buontalenti, whose beautiful fountain is underneath the aedicule. Indeed, the love story between Francesco I de Medici and the venetian Bianca Cappello was one of the most beautiful and passionate love stories from the Renaissance period, and this house bore witness to their story.

Our stay here was absolutely exceptional—truly one of those rare places that exceeds expectations in every way. The apartment itself is stunning: beautifully decorated, thoughtfully designed, and incredibly comfortable. Every detail felt intentional, from the furnishings to the overall atmosphere—it struck that perfect balance between elegance and warmth.The location could not be better. You are right in the heart of Florence, with easy access to everything—shopping, incredible restaurants, historic sites—yet it still feels like a peaceful retreat when you step inside. We were able to walk everywhere with ease, which made the entire experience feel effortless and immersive.Our host was fantastic—responsive, helpful, and genuinely invested in making sure our stay was perfect. Communication was seamless from start to finish, and we felt very well taken care of.This apartment elevated our entire Florence experience. It’s the kind of place you look forward to returning to after a full day out, and honestly, it would be hard to imagine staying anywhere else. If you are considering booking, don’t hesitate—this is truly a special place and an ideal home base for exploring the city.

Luca was so helpful with perfect directions and recommendations. The apartment is very comfortable, a great location, and absolutely beautiful. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Well, we were in a perfect location for a short term stay in Florence for first time visitors. We could see the Duomo out our window. A washer and a dryer which worked well. Beautiful space, comfortable beds. Luka (Luca?) met us at the apartment, which is a short walk from the train station. Spent a good amount of time with us orienting us to where we were and how to use the doors and the keys and everything. The heater had gone out in the place we had actually rented and this was a different spot, but it turned out to be perfect. We were traveling with a mobility, impaired, but still mobile, person.

The apartment was in a beautiful well situated building. The space was clean but not as well appointed or fresh as it appeared in the photos (upholstery was tired and some of the decorations cheap and tacky). The outdoor space was beautiful, but without comfortable furnishing. The greatest problem was the street noise! Bring earplugs - the noise goes late and starts early
