Miguel is a wonderful host as is his wife Maria. Their bespoke room was perfectly equipped with everything you need for a self catering stay. Exceptionally clean. We shortened our stay as we had seen all we needed in Menton. Our only gripes are the many steps to climb back up to the room if you walk into town for an evening meal. Anyone with heart/breathing difficulties would struggle with this. The garden is a beautiful spot looking out over the med, sadly the room is facing their home so privacy was an issue for us, if you dont mind that then its a perfect spot.

Small but perfectly formed. Comfortable studio with adequate facilities situated in the garden of the owners. A private garden with numerous seats and loungers is designated for the sole use of residents of the studio. The garden areas is laid out with an abundance of flowers, shrubs, avocado tree and has a panoramic and picturesque vista over Menton and beyond to the Med. In the terraces below and enviable vegetable / fruit garden. The property is as previous reviews state, an energetic climb up the steps from the village, less so if a car is available as this can be parked nearer the house. The solution is to plan your outings and minimise the trips down to the town. Public transport is easy, cheap and plentiful along the coast as well as up to the many medieval villages which are well worth the scary journey up the twisty narrow roads which are not for the faint hearted. Maria and Miguel were very friendly and helpful. Their English is limited as our French is but communication was manageable. A delightful couple.

Beautiful property nestled in the hills of Menton. It had all amentities that were needed. Miguel was very patient with our lack of French. The 300 m hike (as it was a hike) back to the house from the coast is not for the faint at heart but good to help refresh after a food filled day in town! Would go back for sure!

The night before we left, we were invited to join Miguel, Maria and their grandson, who interpreted for us, for appetizers and drinks. This was a special occasion and one we will not forget. Our only real criticism would be that we were not alerted to the fact that the walk to the property from Menton is a steep uphill jaunt. While we are elderly, my wife and I are in good shape yet still found the climb home each night arduous and challenging. If you don't have a car, climbing the path is your only option, aside from a taxi. And mosquitos were somewhat annoying on both the path and on the terrace area at the property. However, again, we very much enjoyed our stay and have many great memories.

The apartment itself was excellent for us two, with good facilities. The patio is lovely, ideal for us to use our camping gas barbecue. The view of Menton & the sea is beautiful. Maria & Miguel are excellent hosts, are two lovely people and very easy to get on with. Even though we can’t speak French we found communication easy specially with google translate on our I pad. All in all this is a beautiful place to stay. Les & Beryl

La location correspond tout à fait à l'annonce. Tout est très propre et en bon état. Il faut aimer monter ou descendre à pied (portage des bagages avec petit tracteur à chenilles si nécessaire) mais la vue mer avec le jardin fleuri est exceptionnelle. Maria et Miguel nous ont accueilli avec beaucoup de gentillesse.

Bereits die bebilderte Beschreibung der Ferienwoh-nung hat uns so begeistert, dass wir uns sofort entschieden haben, die Wohnung in schönster Lage am Hang über Menton mit dem Blick über die Stadt und in die Weite des Meeres und des Himmels zu mieten. Angekommen, von Miguel herzlich und zu allen Hilfeleistungen bereit, empfangen, hat die komfortable Wohnung am schönen Ort all unsere Erwartung sogar übertroffen. Wir wussten gleich, hier werden wir es abseits vom Verkehr in der Stille überaus gut haben, uns ausruhen und glückliche Tage verbringen. Wir kennen uns mit Ferienwohnungen seit Jahres aus. Nie haben wir eine gleichermassen perfekt ausgestattete und blitzsaubere Wohnung angetroffen, dazu in einem eigenen, freistehenden Gebäude neben dem Wohnhaus des Vermieters gelegen, mit einer durchgehenden Fensterfront (mit elektrifizierten Storen und schönen Vorhängen). Vom Bett aus haben wir das Meer und beim Aufgang der Sonne den sich rötenden Himmel gesehen. Auf der grosse Terrasse mit dem Tisch, wo wir selbst zur Zeit nach Weihnachten und Neujahr (2021/2022) morgens und mittags an der Sonne gegessen und gelesen haben, steht eine Bougainvillea, zu Recht als blühendes "Wunderblumengewächs" benannt. Die Terrasse, auf der wir uns aufghalten haben, ist optisch getrennt von der Terrasse des Vermieters vor dessen Wohnhaus . Der von Maria liebevoll und kenntnisreich gepflegte Garten mit Zwergpalmen und vielen anderen südlichen Gewächsen, Zitrusfrüchten und dem blau blühenden Baum, der Jacarabda mimosifolia, ist für die Gäste zugänglich als ein weiterer Aufenthaltsort. Maria und Miguel haben uns immer wieder Zitrusfrüchte aus ihrem Garten gebracht. Man tut sich am Ende des Urlaubs schwer, sich von dem Ort zu trennen. Was wir in den Norden mitnehmen: die Erinnerung an zwei wunderbare Ferienwochen, die freundschaftliche Verbundenheit mit Maria und Miguel und den Wunsch, wieder zu kommen. We werden heel vriendelijk en gastvrij ontvangen. We werden geholpen met het dragen van onze bagage. Het huisje had inderdaad het uitzicht op zee dat er getoond wordt. Is in werkelijkheid nog mooier. Het huisje zelf was zeer netjes. Er was alles aanwezig wat je nodig hebt. Zelfs een wasmachine. We krgen ook zelfgemaakte vijgenjam en citroenjam. Op een gegeven moment hadden we pech met de auto. We zijn door Miguel zelf naar zijn eigen garage gebracht, waar de auto op zeer korte termijn gerepareerd is. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar en aan te bevelen.

Nous avons séjourné quelques jours dans le studio de Miguel et Maria d'une propreté irréprochable et très bien équipé ! Miguel prend le temps de remonter nos bagages muni d'un engin indispensable pour arpenter le chemin qui permet de regagner la maison ! Une fois arrivés, la vue est exceptionnelle sur la baie de Menton ! Le jardin de la maison fleuri et doté d'arbres fruitiers est digne des jardins exotiques de la région ! Ce fut un très agréable séjour. A commencer par l'accueil chaleureux de Maria et Miguel (les propriétaires). Ils sont serviables et se rendent disponibles pour quelconque besoin. Le logement est d'une propreté remarquable et fonctionnel. La terrasse et le jardin offre une vue imprenable sur la mer et est au calme. La gare est à proximité ce qui permet de prendre le TER facilement. Le centre ville, la plage sont également à proximité. Ce logement est idéalement situé !
