Barely a few kilometers from all the large country houses (Montpazier, Montflanquin, Villereal) and 25 MINUTES from Bergerac airport. (Ryanair).

We stayed in Les Hirondelles for two weeks in the summer of 2022 with four adults and two children and very much enjoyed our time there.
Les Hirondelles is a very old but charismatic house. It has a beautiful garden with several terraces, sitting places and nice views. The swimming pool is great as well. Although the house is surrounded by three other houses (with very distinct and friendly neighbours), the place offers a lot of privateness and calmness (also thanks to the big gardens surrounding all of the houses).
The house suited six people very well, but accomodating more than seven people is going to be challenging (since the place offers seven sleeping places). As said, the house is dated, so don’t expect a ultramodern, 100% flawless house, but expect a charismatic french house with history. The house does have things like a dishwasher, wash machine, dryer and a nice barbecue (i.e. basically all the luxury you need). The house does not have airconditioning, which - even despite the fact that each room has its own fan - can be somewhat challenging at night (although I have to admit that when we were there it was a very hot period).
The house has the perfect location for exploring the very beautiful region. It is only a 5 minutes drive away from the charming village Villareal (with supermarket etc.). The house is only a +/- 20 minutes drive away from visiting places like Monflanquin and the castle of Biron. Note that the French countryside does come with (a lot of) insects (mosquitoes, gadflies), etc.
