A simple cottage that would suit if you are just needing a base, and in better weather.

It was a good location from the scenic areas we wanted to visit. It was good to be able to access the property with the key box. The kitchen was well supplied with cooking equipment.

The house was cold. It was easy to warm the bedroom up both the door closed as it was a small room and the one storage heater sufficed. But the main living area didn’t get warm, it looked like a second storage heater had been removed from the wall (or something had and not been made good). To get warm we made use of the blankets but it was cold to move around. We didn’t find the bed very comfortable but read reviews in the guest book that others had so that is personal choice. The property was advertised as having private parking but there wasn’t any, we had to leave the car in a lay by out of site of the property. The property is set back from the road so better instructions are required to find it. The area has poor signal so trying to google map it when nearby was difficult.

Serene, quaint and calming.

Cozy, quiet, a large window looks out on an old tree with a bird feeder & I could’ve spent the entire vacation just watching the birds visiting the feeder .

Nothing really that I didn’t like. But since it’s a question you’re asking, perhaps written guide lines on how to use the TV if you want to change it to Netflix or something. We didn’t know how to get the TV back to the regular BBC channels and had to disturb the owner to fix it for us .

Amazing location for exploring Western fells

Barn was very clean. Bed was comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed living room had a large window and it was lovely to watch the birds/squirrels in the garden on a morning. Location was super quiet and amazing for exploring nearby fells.
