We had a great week at your property. We had lovely weather. The house is wel equipped , a little further from the city center as we expected but everything was as described. A big plus was the airco.

Lovely clean and modern house with all mod cons ( only issue was no towels were provided so had to go out first morning to buy some . Lots of bedding etc but no towels which was a little strange) nicely situated for getting to La Rochelle centre and Il de Re , must have a car .Some local bars, nice one locally done out like anAmerican Diner, and a supermarket , post office etc but bars close in the evenings so to eat out you must go back into La Rochelle centre .easy access for day trips to Isle de Re , toll bridge 16 euros . Very picturesque island, well worth a visit to all small villages around the island. Went to Rochefort for the day, Thursday was market day . Weather was excellent, only drawback was so so many flies we couldn’t open the French windows or sit or eat in garden . That was a shame .The house was well equipped and comfortable. Local residents very helpful and friendly . Would recommend for a visit. There are two bikes on the property but one had flat tyre so we bought a pump but the valve was a peculiar one and pump didn’t work. Would have been nice to ride for bread etc in the mornings . Communication with owner and key holder was excellent .
