The host was really nice, and took her time to tell me about the city, check in with me, and was overall a very lovely host.
La Rochelle is a beautiful city, and I would definitely go back there again. Nice people, and a lot of different things you can do, including some nice beaches.
It was a bit outside the side, but only a 15 min walk, or 10 min by bus (or you could rent bikes). I didn’t mind, because it was in a nice neighborhood, close to a very lovely park.

L’accueil très aimable de Caroline, ses conseils et recommandations. Le calme du logement et l’accès sécurisé et indépendant à la chambre. Le positionnement près d’un parc et à 1/4 d’heure à pied du centre ville. Je recommande fortement ce logement.

Self-contained room was lovely and I had my own entrance gate. Host was nice and speaks English (8 speak French too but good to converse with her in English). Allowed to use family fridge if needed. Good location and you can walk from the Place Verdun quite easily.
Could have done with walking route / bus options being advertised on confirmation email, as local construction works make finding the property seem less straightforward initially.

Location La Rochelle not accurate on booking.com required more than half hour walk each way to old town and
and all places to eat some shut after found my way feeling very tired evening arrived
