Das Haus liegt absolut ruhig am Ende einer Sackgasse direkt über der Strandpromenade von Donville les bains. Die riesigen Fensterflächen und die große sichtgeschützte Terasse erlauben herrliche Aussichten über das Meer mit seinen Gezeiten, das Strandleben und besonders die Sonnenuntergänge. Das Haus bietet sehr gute Ausstattung und Komfort, TV mit allen Astra-Programmen, Parkplatz direkt vor der Tür oder auf dem Grundstück. Die Geschäfte für den täglichen Bedarf befinden sich in Fußnähe und viele Sehenswürdigkeiten in näherer Umgebung. Die Besitzer sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und jederzeit für Auskünfte erreichbar. Wir als Ehepaar (62 u. 60 Jahre) habe hier eine traumhafte Woche erlebt und können dieses Haus uneingeschränkt weiter empfehlen.

In Covid-Zeiten hatte ich nur mit dem Keyholder gerechnet. Der Vermieter schickte aber zudem seinen Sohn, der uns alle erforderlichen Auskünfte gab und weit mehr. Sehr sympathisch und überaus zuvorkommend (ich hatte viel von den Salzlämmern gehört und er hatte recherchiert, wo es das Angebot gibt und das noch abends per Mail nachgereicht: den Metzger haben wir dann aufgesucht und das Resultat war wirklich sehr lecker!)! 91 Stufen runter zum Boulevard (war nur am Wochenende tagsüber gut frequentiert, ergo keine Geräuschkulisse). Die Füsse im Meer sagt man hier… Alles picobello sauber und bei Ebbe kann man auch über paar Felsen steigen (festes Schuhwerk vorausgesetzt, aber wer halbwegs fit ist, schafft das locker) und schon ist man am Casino, also mitten in der Stadt. Oder man nimmt den Bus, der ist umsonst und gerade, wenn man Einkäufe getätigt hat, ist das sehr praktisch. E-bikes empfehle ich, denn es geht meist schon knackig hoch und runter. Bei der Fensterverriegelung hatte ich nicht mit dieser simplen, aber effektiven Technik gerechnet (quere Holzleiste, passgenau). Die 3., große Herdplatte ist ohne Funktion (Absicht aus feureschutztechnischen Gründen?), aber sonst ist alles da, wie beschrieben. Wir brauchten die Elektroradiatoren nicht, weil das Wetter konnte vom Vermieter noch positiv beeinflusst werden (er musste es wohl wegen der Pflanzen regnen lassen, aber zum Glück nur nachts :-). Wer also empfindlich ist, decke sich gut ein und wenn es auch nur ein gutes Tagesprogramm ist. Davon gibt es reichlich zur Auswahl und für jeden Geschmack ist was dabei! Vielen herzlichen Dank für die Gastfreundschaft, wir kommen gerne wieder!

Der Gesammteindruck des Objektes ist durchaus positiv zu bewerten. Die tolle Lage direkt am Atlantik ist schon außergewöhnlich. Die Unterkunft stllt sich 1:1 so da wie im Internet beschrieben. Was ein wenig schwierig und negativ war unsere Ankunft. Wir hatten eine Woche vor Ankunft per Mail Kontakt mit dem Vermieter und haben unsere Ankunft zwischen 17.00- 18.00 Uhr avisiert, woraufhin er uns eine Telefonnummer zugesendet hat mit der Bitte Ihn anzurufen wenn wir da sind. Wir versuchten an dem besagten Tag ab 15.00 Uhr telefonisch Kontakt aufzunehmen da wir schon um 16.00 Uhr vor Ort waren. 100 % ig läßt sich das ja nun nicht planen wenn mann seit morgens um 5.00 Uhr unterwegs ist und gute 1000 km unterwegs war. Leider war der Vermieter nicht zu erreichen und reagierte auch nicht auf unsere Anrufe. Gegen 18.00 Uhr haben wir mit Nachbarn Kontakt aufgenommen die uns freundlicherweise die Adresse des Vermieters herausgesucht haben. Dieser zeigte sich sehr überrascht als wir um 18.00 Uhr vor seiner Tür gestanden haben. Angeblich funktionierte sein Telefon nicht richtig. Komische Ausrede. Stellt sich für uns die Frage wo wir wohl die Nacht verbracht hätten ohne hervorragende Französisch Kenntnisse und hilfsbereite Nachbarn. Sehr schade.
