Charming south facing farmhouse recently renovated adjoining the owner's farm. living room-kitchen, on the 1st floor 1 bedroom with 1 double bed, bathroom, on the 2nd floor, 1 bedroom with 2 single beds 300 meters from the city center and 1 km from the beach. 1 large terrace of 50 m2, private enclosed garden with trees of 100 m2 The location of the rental allows you to walk to the city center which is 300 meters away and to the beach which is 1 km away. We spent a very enjoyable week here having chosen it because of its convenient location.
The house, attached to the owners’ property, is set in an attractive garden and has off street parking. The terrace, where we were able to enjoy several meals during our stay, was particularly appreciated.
The owners are very friendly and accommodating and we’d be more than happy to return here in the future.

Excellent holiday house. The house is 100 years old, built of beautiful stone, but recently renovated to a very high standard. There is secure off road parking in the gated driveway.
The house consists of a ground floor of an open plan kitchen and living area with dining table, and a downstairs toilet. The kitchen is well equipped: large fridge with small freezer, 4 ring induction hob, microwave, kettle, coffee maker and extractor fan. Plenty of pots, pans, crockery, glasses and cutlery. Even has a teapot and a toaster: quite unusual for a French holiday home.
The first floor has a large double bedroom, and a good sized and modern bathroom, with bath and shower. All bed linen and towels are provided.
The top floor has a second bedroom, with two single beds. This is a good sized room, but has slanted walls into the roof so not for very tall people.
Outside, guests have a garden table and chairs on a tiled terrace, and a parasol and charcoal BBQ. There is a small lockable storage room off the terrace for storing charcoal, bicycles or beach equipment. This room also houses a washing machine. Electricity and gas are included in the price: water is extra, and worked out at under one euro per day.
The terrace is for the sole use of the renters, but the family owners are in the adjoining house. This was not a problem: they have their own BBQ area out of sight around the corner: the terrace is more or less private with the odd family member walking by in the garden.
The family are very pleasant, Françoise makes every effort to ensure the renters are happy. She has a few words of English and we have a few words of French, so managed to communicate quite well.
This house is literally about 100 mts from a very nice supermarket, with great local produce. It is a 3 min walk to the centre of St Pol where there are several bars and restaurants, and a 10 minute walk to a well regarded fish restaurant, and a wonderful one star Michelin restaurant, Auberge la Pomme d Api.
St Pol has a safe beach which is 15 min walk down the hill, but there is a fabulous, huge and wild beach at Kirfissien, a 20 min drive along the coast.

Très belle location dans une belle demeure avec un jardin magnifiquement fleuri.
Nous y avons passé une très bonne semaine, Françoise est très accueillante, (merci pour les Agapanthes). Rien ne manque, c est joli, clair et spacieux (seul regret le lit de 140 car nous ne sommes plus habitués).
Le centre ville est à côté et le supermarché aussi.
Roscoff n est pas loin en voiture.
A bientôt peut-être si on revient dans le coin.

We stayed at Madam Platel's house for the second time in April 2019.
The house is very comfortable and really well equipped and beautifully presented. Everything was spotlessly clean.
The house is attached to the family house but is entirely independent. There is a shared driveway behind electrically operated gates with space to park. The patio area is at the front but the family have their own sitting and BBQ area around the corner so you are mostly private, with the occasional family member walking by.
Downstairs is an unusually well equipped kitchen and dining area, and a comfortable sitting area, and a downstairs loo.
First floor has a lovely bathroom and a large bedroom, very comfortable double bed. Top floor has another bedroom with two singles, but note sloping roof means if not ideal for very tall people.
The thick stone walls meant the house was cool when we stayed in the summer of 2015, and this year when we arrived in an unusually cool April, the central heating made the house lovely and warm. There is a separate store room attached where BBQ equipment or beach toys or bikes could be stored.
M Platel has a few words of English so having some French is useful but not essential. She was very welcoming and very helpful, but allows you your space.
St Pol de Leon is a nice old town but don't come looking for nightlife. There are a few nice restaurants including the Michelin starred Pomme d'Api which is really friendly and worth a meal, especially the midweek lunch which is a steal. Booking essential. SuperU supermarket is literally just around the corner.
Very pleasant stay, M Platel is helpful and kind. Ideal spot for a couple or couple with two kids, or four adults.
Highly recommended, and we will be back.

Logement facile d'accès dans un secteur très calme. Il est dans un état très correct. Sa description correspond à ce que nous avons trouvé sur place. Logement bien chauffé malgré le radiateur de salle de bain qui reste froid mais sans conséquence sur la température de la pièce.
Un seul bémol connexion wifi lente et parfois inexistante pendant quelques minutes, pour nous cela n'a pas constitué une grande gène. Pour le reste un seul mot: Parfait.

Wir wurden von der Vermieterin sehr nett empfangen. Das Objekt grenzt direkt ans Haus der Vermieter, aber wir waren dennoch ganz für uns. Einrichtungstechnisch war alles da, was man brauchte und es war sehr sauber. Kleine Terrasse, auf der man auf Wunsch auch grillen kann.
Einkaufsmöglichkeit um die Ecke. Wunderbarer Markt einmal in der Woche, sehr empfehlenswert. Der Weg zum Strand zu Fuß ist nicht weit, aber anstrengend, da man ein paar Höhenmeter überwinden muss. Für uns war Saint-Pol-de-Léon ein idealer Ausgangspunkt, um die Region zu erkunden. Roscoff (Botanischer Garten!) und die Ile de Batz haben wir sehr genossen.
