About this cottage rental

Former barn tastefully restored. Quiet cottage in a beautiful setting that can accommodate 6 people. Located in Saint Marcel de Careiret beautiful little village in Provence at the gates of the Ardèche. For wine lovers, Saint-Marcel is part of the Côtes-du-Rhône at the western limit of the appellation of controlled origin zone. Halfway between Nîmes, Uzès and Avignon you can just as much taste the joys of a swim in the river, like a stroll at Pont-du-Gard. Barely an hour from the Camargue you can also enjoy a sea swim after a horse ride. A deposit of 800 euros in check or cash will be requested (the check will not be cashed and will be returned to you when you leave).

Laetitia was the perfect hostess, with fantastic suggestions for day trips and vineyards to visit.The property was very well equipped with all essentials as well as home comforts. The air conditioning was a welcome bonus.

At one point the electricity went off at another. The water was out and then another. The Wi-Fi didn't work. Also property had some maintenance issues as well as remains from the two large dogs.

We have had a very nice vacation in this lovely region of France. A great place to visit the area: nice authentic cities like Uzes, Orange, Avignon, Nimes,... ; Pont Du Gard (swimming, canoe); different markets;... The house is well equiped and has a big garden with a good swimming pool and also a jacuzzi wich we didn't use. Nice and friendly hostess who makes you feel at home.

Leatitia is a beautiful host. She is always available with any queries and goes out of her way to help if needed. The Gite is very clean and spacious. We received a nice welcome pack on arrival. The area was perfect for exploring. We enjoyed our one week stay.

We loved everything about our stay here, kicked off in style by Laetitia's warm welcome. The house had everything we needed (and more) to make our stay absolutely perfect. We felt completely relaxed and at home, and loved wandering the beautiful garden, and chilling by the pool. At the end of long days out exploring the region, we could simply come 'home' and relax. We would thoroughly recommend, and definitely return again

Stayed for four night with our two children (3&5) and grandma. Beautifully presented house with very well equipped kitchen and utility room with all the necessary supplies which is a blessing when travelling with young children. The house is child friendly and the garden was fully secure. From the first email received we felt welcomed by Laetitia who speaks perfect English. Nothing was too much trouble and she gave us lots of recommendation for trips out with travel times which was so helpful. I would highly recommend this delightful home away from home.

Das Objekt liegt in einem kleinen Dorf. Alle touristischen Hotspots sind von dort innerhalb von maximal 1,5 Stunden Reisezeit gut zu erreichen. Die Eigentümer wohnen im Haus nebenan, sind sehr freundlich, zuvorkommend und serviceorientiert ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Der Garten ist sehr groß, der Pool eignet sich sehr gut um seine Runden zu schwimmen - wunderbar. Sonnenliegen stehen bereit. Die meiste Zeit haben wir vor Ort draußen verbracht. Frühstück und Abendessen haben wir in der Sitzecke eingenommen. Die Einrichtung des Ferienhauses ist geschmackvoll und es fehlte an Nichts. Küche, Geschirr, Waschmaschine und Trockner - alles auf dem Stand der Technik. Die Betten sind sehr komfortabel. Im Wohnraum und in einem Schlafzimmer gibt es eine Klimaanlage, die wir einige Male eingeschaltet haben, da die Temparaturen sehr hoch waren mit entsprechender Luftfeuchtigkeit. Auch Fernseher gibt es in beiden Räumen. Auf dem Gelände bewacht ein äußerst freundlicher und ruhiger Hund Hab und Gut. Einkaufen kann man vor Ort in einer Epicerie. Es gibt eine Bar und eine Pizzeria. Die örtliche Kooperative verkauft Wein und einheimische Spezialitäten. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten für den großen Einkauf gibt in ca. 11 km Entfernung in Bagnols sur Ceze. Einen wunderschönen Markt gibt es Sonnabends in Uzes. An jeder Straße gibt es Stände mit frischem Obst und Gemüse und je nach dem mit weiteren Spezialtitäten. Wir haben die Aprikosen und Melonen genossen. Kurz und gut, der Aufenthalt war rundum gelungen. Vielen Dank

Wir hatten als vierköpfige Familie einen wunderbaren Urlaub in der Provence. Laetitia und ihre Familie waren überaus herzlich und zuvorkommend. Die Kommunikation vor unserem Urlaub lief reibungslos ab, Laetitia antwortete immer sehr schnell und war sehr entgegenkommend. Das Haus war sauber und hübsch eingerichtet. Besonders toll fanden wir den riesigen, wunderschönen Garten mit Pool. Die Lage des Hauses ist perfekt für viele tolle Ausflüge zu Orten und Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Gegend. Wir wurden sehr nett in Empfang genommen und haben die Tage in Saint Marcel de Careiret sehr genossen. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Laetitia notre hôte nous avait indiqué que nous allions être "comme chez nous" et bien elle avait raison . Rien ne manque, dans chaque pièce tout le nécessaire. La maison est décorée avec soin et invite à se sentir bien. Climatisation utilisée pendant le séjour, au top. La piscine et le jacuzzi, un vrai régal avec le soleil d'été surtout au retour de balades dans la région qui fourmille de sites aussi majestueux que typiques, villages superbes paysages grandioses à quelques kilomètres de la maison très bien située. La semaine a été riche de découvertes et de rencontres . Laetitia et Michel sont aussi adorables que prévenant et jamais envahissant , Michel est de bon conseil pour les sites et bons coins à découvrir. Merci pour cette semaine qui fut bien trop courte

Notre séjour dans le gîte a été très agréable. Les hôtes sont aux petits soins sans pour autant être intrusif. Ils ont notamment gentiment équipé le gîte pour notre enfant de 7 mois. Le gîte est superbe, tout en pierre, et très fonctionnel. Le jacuzzi très agréable. Un vrai coup de coeur.

Laetitia and Michel were the perfect hosts. Always there when you needed help or advice. The house is very well equipped, comfortable and clean. The garden is large and beautyful with a nice pool to swim and cool down. Saint Marcel is very quiet, but you have a little grocery to buy bread in the morning. Large supermarkets are a only about 10 minutes away by car at Bagnol.The house is perfectly situated to start trips from there to cultural sites at Avignon, Nimes or Orange. But also the rivers Ceze, Gard, Ardeche and little villages are nearby. Located in the middl of plenty vineyards you can join vine tastings and easily find very good restaurants. The house is perfectly for couples or little families to relax and to explore the area. We will come back!
