Kampi Hotel Tunjungan - Surabaya

1. Location to nearby eateries (both cafes and warungs). 2. Hotel staff - service level is par excellent. Special mention goes to Mas Rafi, and also all the hotel’s F&B and Front Desk staff.

I had a pleasant 3-night stay at Kampi Hotel Tunjungan. The highlight of my stay was definitely the staff—they were exceptionally friendly, helpful, and always greeted us with a warm smile. Their hospitality made us feel very welcome throughout our stay. The location is another major advantage. It is conveniently situated, making it easy to explore Surabaya and access nearby shopping, dining, and attractions. That said, there are a few areas that could be improved. The cleanliness could be better, and I hope the hotel pays more attention to room maintenance and guest safety. The inside door lock in our room was broken and could not be used, which was a concern. In addition, the Wi-Fi connection was very slow and inconsistent throughout our stay.

I’ve stayed here several times now and it’s a great hotel. Comfortable rooms, with great showers, kettles etc. The staff are lovely! It’s also centrally located in Surabaya. Breakfast is excellent.

The “city view” rooms can be noisy as the sounds carry up from noisy venues etc from below. They need better insulation. Linen could use a refresh and the linen in my first room didn’t seem fresh when I arrived which was concerning. No soap at the basin for handwashing. No fridge in the second room I stayed in.
