Good Value

The cabin was small, but had most features that we thought were necessary. The location was very convenient for our trip and we will probably go back, but we will definitely get a larger cabin. The smaller cabins are fairly compact.

Parking was a bit tight. The bathroom in the cabin had a great shower, but the sink was in the hall and not very convenient for shaving in the morning. We were there during very cold spell and the cabin was a bit cold. There was a central heat unit, but it was not working.

Great historic stay

I love staying at historic properties, and these little cabins are very sweet. The room was comfortable and clean, and the motor court had everything I needed. It was easy to get to the places I wanted to go from here, and there were restaurants, a pharmacy, and a grocery nearby.

I missed that there's no hairdryer in the cabin, so I had to go buy one. That's on me. But it would have been nice to have that amenity.

Our stay was very peaceful and cozy overall.

I really liked the cute little cabin, the rocking chairs outside, the cute kitchen, the bed, and the layout of everything. It was easy to find our cabin and easy to enter. The door code was very convenient. The note from housekeeping made me smile. I also loved the little fireplace and heater, though we didn’t need to use either of them because it didn’t get cold enough. I also loved the TV and how cozy it felt.

The bathroom could use an update. It was kind of dirty against the edges. However, I loved the handheld shower.

Charming. Cozy. Historical Cabin.

The cabins are super cool. Historical. And well kept up. You really are in an old time motor court. I got to know my neighbors. Sat out in rocking chairs on the front porch. Super charming.

The bed was a little soft. The properties are not far from I-26. You can't hear the traffic when you are inside, but when you're on the front porch, you are aware that there is an interstate not too far away.

This property is so cute!! Everything I wanted and more for an anniversary trip! Plus, add the history to it and it’s perfection!

Honestly nothing. The bed was a little hard for me, but that’s personal preference. We did arrive to no towels, but the staff quickly responded to our message. We had towels waiting for us when we returned.

Pretty atmosphere, quaint, some issues

Convenient location, not far from downtown. Grocery and restaurants near by. Pretty atmosphere. Peaceful. Quiet. Lots of trees. Nice dog area. Very clean cabin. Air conditioning worked well.

We rented two cabins. Hot water did not work in shower in one. Called maintenance- no response at all. Flooring broke in other cabin. Same situation. No response from maintenance. Had to put a suitcase over the hole because we were afraid a critter would enter the cabin. Be aware that if you have an issue on the weekend there is nobody to help you. Very heavy chemical smell in one cabin upon arrival on Friday. Staff was helpful and provided an ozone machine for a bit. If you’re sensitive to smells and chemicals this may be a concern. Blankets very thin.

The location was not bad. The lady running it was nice.

It needs a much needed update. The beds were very uncomfortable and we had a few spiders inside the cabin. There’s a crack at the top of the door.

Family getaway

The cabin had a full siz e coffee pot, microwave, and fridge which were all positives for my family. The air worked and we were fairly comfortable. The mattresses on the bunk beds in cabin 20 were great! They allow dogs and her stay was included which was awesome! The beds and towels were clean!

The cabin wasn't very clean. There was some unidentified powder in the cabinet with the dishes so I ended up grabbing paper plates at the store. The separate bedroom mattress was very firm. The traffic behind the property was loud and audible all night. The listing said it included a washer but there is only a laundry mat. The door to the laundry mat sticks and there were very little back up supplies in the cabinet at the laundry. The hand and dish soap provided were not full and if we were staying longer than two nights, it wouldn't have been enough.

Disgusting Cabin – Unsafe, Dirty, and Overpriced

Honestly, the only positive I can mention is that the host eventually refunded one night of our stay—after I had to ask multiple times and provide photo proof. Other than that, absolutely nothing was enjoyable.

This place was disgusting. Dust everywhere, cobwebs hanging from the ceiling, and the entire cabin smelled musty and unclean. The dining table had cobwebs ON it. We didn’t feel safe staying there—especially with my boyfriend in heart failure who was having trouble breathing due to the poor air quality. The host blamed the cabin’s age and location under trees. I don’t care how old a place is—basic cleaning should be the bare minimum. Her attitude when I asked for a refund made it even worse. You shouldn’t have to fight to get a clean place to sleep. We ended up leaving and booking another place out of pocket just to feel safe.

The cabin was clean and adorable ! It was easy to get to and close to most fast food restaurants and expressways. The office staff were friendly and accommodating. It was pet friendly with a fenced yard for our pup.

Wonderful and Will Be Back

Very professional and easy check-in. Great location, relaxing, with WiFi included. I felt safe. It was nice; I could park my car right next to the cabin. I loved the little deck and took a Zoom meeting out there :). The cabin was really cute, and I loved the idea that it was a historic site. Everything I needed was there. The air conditioning was on, and felt like jumping in a pool on a very hot day when I walked in the door. I really appreciated all the thought that went into the cabin, which made the stay a very enjoyable one. I did not spend a lot of time there - only to sleep, take a shower, and head back out, yet I did get time to relax.

The shower was a little sloped, yet it is a historical cabin, and I am sure built before plumbing was even invented. Old homes and places come with those little quirks like that . It is no big deal . The shower pressure was fine, and the water temperatures were perfect once adjusted to my liking. Again, no big deal. The very good thing about the cabin made this not really an issue. I got clean, so mission accomplished.
