The location of Esporles in the middle of Tramuntana mountain ranges makes it easy to leave the estate and get into the saddle. This part of Majorca is known for its beautiful, but sometimes also very challenging tours. Many well-known professional bicyclists get trained here, especially during pre-season and post-season, the pleasant weather makes cycling here a pleasure. For instance, one popular tour takes you through the Serra d'es Canyar. You drive over small switchbacks not too far until you have reached an altitude of just over 500 metres. On the roads covered with gravel you reach the farm 'Sarria' and then Esporles
Posada del Marques This luxury hotel 'La Posada del Marqués' is located just 4 km from Esporles, on the southern foothills of the mighty mountain range of Sierra de Tramuntana. The 16th century estate 'La Posada del Marqués' perches on the slopes of La Fita del Rams at an altitude of 510 metres.
Beaches: Natural beaches and cliffs over crystal clear blue sea
Port des Canonge: A fishing village near Esporles with small pebble beach and clear water. Therefore, the beach is an ideal place for snorkelling and from here you can take up beautiful hikes in the pristine nature. The way to get there is led through adventurous switchbacks.
The small village Banyalbufar is situated on a slope of the Tramuntana Mountains.
Beneath the cliffs of Banyalbufar you will encounter a small beautiful beach cove, which can be reached by a steep stairway.
The water is incredibly clear and the beautiful bay is ideal for swimming.

On the road from Esporles to the coastal village Banyalbufar is one of the main attractions of the region: La Granja, a large former country estate with beautiful gardens.
Wednesday and Friday from 3.30pm - 5pm is a carnival at La Granja. There you can watch blacksmiths, wood carvers and other artisans in historical costume at work. Of course there are also agricultural products to buy.
There are places in this region, which do not let you go easily.
From Port Soller, Deia or Valldemossa, you can fantastically explore the beautiful mountain landscape.
The most famous is the lovely village of Valldemossa. It became famous because of a couple who spent the winter of 1838/39 here. Frederic Chopin and his life partner, writer George Sand.
If you still want to freshen up after the tour, you should take a detour north to Port de Valldemossa .. The tiny harbour town has a small pebble beach, even in the peak season it is not overcrowded. The entry into the cold water is a little difficult due to the presence of rocks, but a swim in the crystal clear water is worth the effort.
Deià - the 800-inhabitant village is located on the northwest coast of the Tramuntana Mountains, where rocks plunge into the deep blue water - a picturesque and spectacular scenery. No wonder this beautiful place was appreciated and cherished by celebrities, like Ava Gardner, Alex Guinness and Peter Ustinov.
Cala de Deia: Along narrow streets you reach Cala de Deia, a quiet, natural bay where you can swim and snorkel very well. Very quaint and picturesque.
Soller - Soller Railway which uninterruptedly connects the island's capital Palma de Majorca everyday with the town of Sóller since 1912. Soller on the Balearic Island is considered a feast for the eyes and the surrounding area invites the visitors for extensive walks into the unique natural landscape of Serra de Tramuntana
The small but prosperous town of Soller, protected by the slopes of the surrounding mountain ridges, Soller is located in the most fertile valleys of Majorca and is also known as the Garden of Majorca. Lemons and oranges, olives and almonds thrive in unimaginable plethora and turn the valley into an Eden Garden. The unique and impressive place can be reached comfortably with the historic train, popularly known as Roten Blitz (Red Spark) from Palma and is therefore a popular destination for tourists who go on day-trips. On the ocean side, within a beautiful protected bay is Port de Soller, the actual tourist centre of Soller.
An old tram (year built: 1922) swings the passengers from the town of Sóller, to the fishing harbour Puerto Sóller, the only natural harbour on the north-west coast of Majorca with it's many bars and excellent restaurants.

The idyllic town of Fornalutx - voted the most beautiful village in Spain The picturesque, historic monumental village Fornalutx lies amidst lush orange and lemon groves at the foothills of the Puig Major, the highest elevation of the Tramuntana Mountains in the northwest of Majorca Island. The chain of mountains enclosing the fertile valley determines the climate and bestows its residents a rich harvest out of the thousands of orange and lemon trees growing here.
Fornalutx, probably the most beautiful mountain village in the northwest of the island enchants its visitors with its narrow alleys and stairways. The stone houses of Fornalutx shimmer in golden colour in the warm light. On paved, steep stairways and winding alleys you can stroll through the small village, which can be reached in just three kilometres from Soller.
