Conveniet stay for one or two nights but if you are looking for a longer stay

At arrival my daughter and I, were met by shady characters. While waiting on the manager to wake up, his female assistant told us what we were told later, which was, that, we wil be informed shortly that the place is fully booked so the owner told me rudely that he would arrange with a neighbor guesthouse. Neighboring guesthouse owner arrived and appeared to be with a certain "doctor" who I assumed was the owner of 45 Old Paarl Road. Funny enough I heard him say the only room available was three times the price. We were then transported to Meljaa Guesthouse 1 Constable Street, where our real horror began. 1. No towels, 2. Scarce bedding, 3. Only bedding for one bed provided whilst the room is cramped with three beds 4.no soap. 5. No TV although present we were told that the remote is gone 6. No air-conditioning or heater 7 threatened to leave by ten the next morning

Shame the lady..I think she is the helper. She was friendly and respectful..other than that nothing to like.

The place is absolutely disgusting...the room was dirty.. there was a dirty cup with old coffee in....pillow cases so thin they looked old and worn-out..and no door handlers on the toilet..toilet sit falling apart..you had to call the helper everytime you need to leave the premises to open the gate...I had to clean my room before I could sleep..so dissatisfied and disappointed...oh and the fridge..both fridges stinking..we couldn't even keep our food there..I will never come back.

NOTTHING . This place does not deserve any stars.

The place only looks good on the photos. Had to phone the lady everything we want to enter to open the gate. No any extra remote. The room is ugly, broken tiles, and loose tap in basin. Not very nice shower. The curtains in the room are untidy. The bed is VERY HARD AND UNPLEASANT TO SLEEP ON with flat cushions

Place to sleep and leave if you desperate and low on cash. Not for comfort at all.

The location is not bad at all.

I didnt like the shower, they need to fix their shower tap, it sprays water towards the wall instead of the body with that being said i did not enjoy it at all and i would not book there anymore cause of that. They could clean a shower properly, the mold on the shower was unhygienic. i did not like the smell of the bathroom it smelled urine. The rats at night will keep you awake.

The vibe was like a hostel vibe where there is a lot of people making noise and just doing they own thing. The place was dirty, a bucket with dirty was sitting at the entrance. And the bonus is when my partner and I decided that we not going to sleep there the guy at the reception say that if we cancel immediately we will get our money back, we didn’t even sit on that bed but we are charged for the full price and that is unfair. The pictures of the place on bookings.com don’t meet the reality.

We booked for two rooms and on our way from the Eastern Cape East London we phoned the owner to confirm that we will check in a bit later. On our arrival the staff was not aware that we were coming and there was only one room available . Therefore we had look for alternative accomodation on a 01h00 in the morning with my family and the area of Bellville was full of druglords and prostitutes. We booked and paid in advanced on this app.

The only thing I liked was that the room was clean. The location was fine.

There was a problem with the booking when we got there. I had to wait more than a hour to get a room. I was not impressed and my partner was very upset that we had to wait so long without feedback from the host.Please put your towels in fabric softener, the one was very hard.
