This house is one of two similar ones on a large-ish fenced-in property whose primary purpose is as a wedding venue. There is a standalone restaurant, Ragazzi, which was already a favourite of ours before we even realized there was rental accommodation on the same campus. So all very secure, and convenient to walk to & from dinner. The house is, as it looks, very modern and well furnished. The underground wine cellar (complete with powered glass door inset into the floor of the very spacious living room) is a cute gimmick. We appreciated the chest freezer well stocked with ice. The jacuzzi was a huge boon as our three days here were hot even by Robertson standards, peaking at or near 45C every day. But lounging in the jacuzzi or on the adjoining terrace was just the ticket for such weather. In the evenings as the heat relented, it was equally enjoyable sipping cocktails while listening to the (loud) chorus of frogs & cicadas. The house is perfectly oriented to make the most of the spectacular mountain views, especially at sunset. Fun to see the springbok, alpacas and blue cranes on the property as well. But look out for the occasional Cape Cobra on the way back from dinner! On the outskirts of Robertson so apart from dinner at Ragazzi, you'll need to drive, but not far.
For such a modern building in this climate (Robertson is not always 40C+ days, but often enough) we were surprised that the aircon struggled to offset the heat in the upper floor bedroom (the ground floor one was fine). Yet mosquitos are a problem with the windows open (in fairness we did not notice the electric repeller gadgets until after a couple of days so they had not been on). None of these issues were enough to spoil the stay for us - we appreciated the design of the house by and large.

O my word! This was amazing! We are coming back next year for our 20th wedding anniversary! This place is out of this world! With the best restaurant!

We had an absolutely marvelous time here - so much so we regretted only staying one night. The location is excellent, the design and layout stunning and the already heated hot tub on arrival was just the icing on the cake.
On a side note the restaurant on the property is also wonderful.
Just be aware the location has many wide open windows. We loved it, but those more concerned about "closing off" parts at night might be a little disconcerted. That being said we felt 100% safe.
