About this apartment rental
You’ll be staying on the upper floor of our two-family home in a fully furnished vacation apartment measuring approximately 60 m², which comfortably accommodates up to 4 people. In addition to two bedrooms, you’ll have access to a cozy living room, a fully equipped kitchen, and a bathroom with a shower and a separate toilet. In addition to a TV and radio, we offer free Wi-Fi access.
The vacation rental has its own entrance (via an outdoor staircase), and a free parking space is available right at the entrance to the apartment.
Enjoy the beautiful view of the Ammergau Alps from the large south-facing balcony and let the warm morning sun pamper you as early as breakfast...
For stays of three nights or more, we charge a surcharge of €15 per night to cover the cost of final cleaning.
Since our apartment is strictly non-smoking, we ask our guests who smoke to do so only on the balcony or in the covered entrance area.
Sights and Surroundings:
The romantic Ammer Valley, with world-famous towns like Oberammergau and Ettal, reveals its most beautiful natural side right here. You can explore our region on well-maintained trails on foot or by bike. In winter, you can access the cross-country ski trail right from the house.
Within 30 to 45 minutes, you’ll find a wide variety of cultural attractions:
- Linderhof Palace
- Ettal Abbey
- Oberammergau, home of the Passion Play
- The “Blue Region” around Murnau on Lake Staffelsee
- Wieskirche, an UNESCO World Heritage Site
- Neuschwanstein Castle
- Garmisch-Partenkirchen, an Olympic venue with a ski jump
- Garmisch-Partenkirchen Casino
- Zugspitze, 2,963 m
- Alpspitze with the Ferrata via ferrata and Alpspixx
It’s also not far to Mittenwald (Violin Museum), neighboring Tyrol (Innsbruck, Seefeld, etc.), or the Bavarian capital of Munich with its numerous sights.

We just recently visited and had a very nice time. The flat was well equipped with the exception of a washing machine. The listing states the property has a washer, but in reality you have to share with the home owner's family and work around their schedule. If that is not a problem for you, then you should definitely stay here.
The village is beautiful and quiet. There's a great bakery and restaurant about a 3-5 minute walk from your door.
This is a great base for exploring the area and even has a train station, making it very easy to get to Munich.

Very nice property. The house is new and well equipped. The property owners are very welcome and ready to help in any problem. The location is excellent for cross country skiing, close to all Ammergauer Alpen cross country trails and Ludwig II castles.
