Excellent location that checked all the major boxes of cleanliness, charm, hospitality, and value.

The location is fantastic, right in the middle of historic Oberammergau with excellent balcony views overlooking the main street and a second quiet balcony off the back bedroom. The cleanliness was exceptional and facilities well appointed including supplies for full meal preparation. The listing pictures honestly do not do the apartment justice. We had an extremely pleasant and comfortable stay with everything we needed on hand. We arrived on a holiday weekend (Easter) with no difficulty checking in or out of the unit. Plenty to do and see within walking distance and an easy drive to surrounding villages, local attractions (Kolbensattel), and within reasonable proximity other area attractions such as Garmisch or Zugspitze. Our host was helpful and kind, which was a wonderful bonus. We would absolutely choose Kronburger again for a future visit to Oberammergau.

The parking was indeed complimentary, but the designated spot was a few blocks away in a residential area about 400m (5-7 min) walk away. Not a big deal for our travel party, but if walking is an issue for someone in your party it could be problematic. It is possible to drive directly to the front door for pickup/dropoff or loading/unloading though. Accessing the rental unit likewise requires the use of stairs which could be problematic with physical limitations or particularly heavy suitcases.

Best choice for location and comfort

The best location, close to everything in Oberammergau. We appreciated the parking space and the apartment was wonderful: extremely clean, well appointed and comfortable. We loved sitting on the balcony enjoying the beautiful, historic buildings and activity.

It was a very pleasant stay and I would return here again.

It was a great apartment. Very roomy and comfortable. It was in the heart of town, very easy to walk to things including a grocery store. I wish we could have stayed longer. It was also nice to have a parking spot, even though it was a bit of a walk.

Pillows. Only one standard sleeping pillow and other large European. Not firm and difficult to sleep with. Arrived late and shops were closed, and no soap to shower with.

Super central location

Nice and clean apartment of one bedroom, cozy kitchen, big living room with TV. Two balconies. Super central location! Parking place is walking distance from apartments, but for us it was no problem at all. Good wifi.

Perfect for my needs, between the kitchen, comfortable bed and sofa and the location it was great!

Minor concern of the parking space being a little distance away from the unit itself, but it was easily walk-able.

The host responded immediately to a late call arrival. Everything was clean and well organized. We found easily all the amenities in the house. The heating was working excellent. Sheets, towels and everything else was clean and tidy.

Für Wander-/Urlaub zu zweit die perfekte Ausgangsbasis.

Super schön. Tolle Lage, große Küche mit großem Esstisch, es hat an nichts gefehlt. Hell, freundliche Atmosphäre und zu zweit angenehm viel Platz, das Wohnzimmer mit Couch. Wir haben sehr gut geschlafen. Zahlreiche Einkaufsmöglichkeiten fußläufig erreichbar. Herzliche Ansprechpartner, bei Fragen hat man immer sehr nett reagiert. Mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln kommt man in Oberammergau und Umgebung auch sehr gut zurecht.
