Vacation House near the Riga, Which Is Surrounded By Forests

A lovely week at Edgars' place. He and Laila were very welcoming and were on hand to sort out any qiestions or issues. We loved the location in the forest and the pond to swim in.

This home is perfect for any family wanting to visit Latvia, its conveniently located in the middle of the country with great access to Riga, Jelgava, Jurmala, Rundale for those day trips out. upon arrival we couldn't believe how much better this place looked considering we only had photo's before, Edgars was there to meet us and he is a lovely guy who really looks after the grounds and gives you the basic tour so you can settle in quickly. the house is very large, lots of bedroom space and living area. there is only one bathroom, BUT this wasn't ever an issue. the facilities here are wonderful and its just like being at home but surrounded by lovely wooden logs, we spent a good few nights cooking in the BBQ stove, and the kids loved the Pond, soft sand underneath and clean, the Fish keep it this way, we were asked to feed them bread and in return i guess they keep the bugs from the water. almost everyday the kids would go for a swim, the volleyball net and basketball court are really great touches too. aircon in 3 of the 4 bedrooms and also downstairs helps to keep cool in the hot summer months. there is a petrol station perhaps 10-15 min drive for urgent food and drink requirements. but its so secluded that its perfect for couples, families and groups of people wanting to visit and relax. there is WIFI and as long as you don't have 3 kids trying to stream music on youtube, it works fine. all in all this house is wonderful and perhaps soon we shall return. Latvia has an unbelievable amount of things to do and places to visit. this home is set amongst it all. the house was in a very clean condition when we arrived and i am sure Edgars appreciated some of the cleaning we did before leaving, it felt like home here. one tip, remember to cover yourself in bug spray for when you go outside if you are prone to attacks like me, some don't need this but the bites are plentiful if you do not apply and you will have a perfect holiday here. kind regards Craig, Signe, Ella - UK Odd-Tore, Ieva, Ana, Heilija, Rodrigo - Norway
