About this house rental
On the Atlantic coast in Charente Maritime, in Saint-Palais-sur-Mer, the Étoile Errante is located 50 m away from the beach of the Platin.
This 120 sq.m house with 4 bedrooms was completely renovated in 2011, in a simple way, like the neighbourhood. On the South-East side the atmosphere is in line with the peace of its private park planted with pine trees, holm oaks and strawberry trees of 550 sq.m: two terraces allow you to enjoy it in the quiet. It is heated to receive you in any season.
Upstairs:
Carmin bedroom: 1 double bed of 160x200
Voyage bedroom: 2 single beds of 90x200 can be brought together
Lune bedroom: 2 bunk beds (large one = 90)
Mezzanine
On this level: walk-in shower on the landing with toilet
On the ground floor: living room suitable for people in a wheelchair
Living room: sofa, armchairs, big screen TV, Home video, wireless access
Dining area: dining table and chairs
Open plan kitchen: refrigerators, cooking hob, oven, dishwasher, all pots and pans, multifunctional food processor, blender, storage spaces, crockery, and microwave
Nacre bedroom: 1 double bed of 140x200
Bathroom and WC: in accordance with the standards or recommendations for the mobility handicap
Utility room (washing machine-drying tumbler)
Environment: one of the most mild and sunny climate of France (more than 300 days and 2400 hours of sun per year).
Leisure activities: beach, all water activities, golf, tennis, hikes or bike rides, horseback-riding, shellfish gathering or fishing, and thalassotherapy in Royan.
Wonderful sites: La Palmyre Zoo, Sentier des Douaniers, Cordouan lighthouse, Talmont abbey, troglodyte caves of Meschers, vineyards in Médoc (by the Royan ferry), local products of Cognac, Marennes (city of oysters), Oleron Island, Fort Boyard, Roman art …
Entertainment: Pontaillac casino, pubs and nightclub 900 metres away, and international firework competition.
Practical information
Access: less than 30 minutes from the A10 highway, 1h30 from Bordeaux airports, and 45 minutes from La Rochelle. The train station of Royan is 9 km away.
Conveniences: shops and services (town centre) at 500 m (10 minutes away by foot).

Great location and gite was fully equipped with quality apparatus.
Lots to do locally in walking distance. Daily market with fresh products meat fish fruit and vegetables.
Restaurants with views over the sea, together with views over the squares.
The lovely beach was only 50 metres away and provided hours of fun.
Easy access to local places of interest like, Royan and Cognac etc.
Host was very accommodating with our stay and arrival and departure requirements.
Our stay was arranged as a 50th birthday treat and we managed to create new memories based on our previous holidays in the area some 40 years previously.
Exceeded our expectations.

We had a fantastic time at Claire’s place. The location close to many beaches and the center of town is just what we needed as a family. The house is cozy and well equipped, perfect spot!
