About this house rental
Looking to enjoy the beauty of the mountains? You'll feel a million miles away from home, yet you will have easy access to all of North Conway's shopping and activities. Ideal for up to 6 adults or 2 small families (4 adults and up to 4 children). Pets will be considered (but must be pre-approved).
Summer features include outdoor gas grill and new for 2023 mini-split AC systems in each of the three bedrooms! Summer activities include visits to Storyland, hiking, swimming, golf, miniature golf, tubing, and canoeing. Walk to the beach at Pequawket Pond, which is a quiet, non-motorized pond great for even young swimmers. The pond also offers great fishing (NH state fishing license required)! Kick back in your adirondock chairs on the deck and enjoy this quiet vacation spot.
Winter features include wood stove and bonus loft area. Enjoy winter activities such as alpine skiing at a variety of nearby resorts - Attitash, Cranmore, Wildcat, and King Pine, ice skating, sleigh rides, sledding, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, and snowmobiling to name just a few.

Cool andComfortable place to hang out while visiting family. Great location for hiking, fishing, swimming and breweries. Very very clean!

Cons: *Owner initially unresponsive when I had not received check-in details (like how to get into the house) and sent messages and a voicemail. We worked out it out through VRBO eventually.
*I was charged an extra guest fee ($240) even though the listing said sleeps 8, and we had 2 adults and 6 children. When I questioned it, I was told it was because we had more than 5 people, even though nowhere on the listing does it state this. So watch for fees attached to your total.
*House was BOILING. None of the ceiling fans in the upstairs bedrooms worked. Only two of the standing fans in the house (and there were maybe 5?) worked. We had to go to Walmart the first night to purchase fans. The house faces East with huge windows and bakes all day. It did not cool off at night and was very hard sleeping, especially for my kids. There are no cross breezes so open windows only helped a little. We cut our trip short because sleeping was so uncomfortable and the house temperature was not pleasant.
*No usable yard at all. Kids couldn’t play outside around the house.
Pros: *House and kitchen are well-stocked (other than dishwasher soap!). Plenty of room to hang out and eat meals, and the deck was nice. The kids liked the selection of board games. House was extremely clean, plenty of towels and linens.
*We felt it was too long of a walk with all our gear to the private beach with a family, but the drive was super short and easy. The private beach (while small) was lovely. Best part of the house. Clean water, plenty of sand, it was awesome swimming out to the dock to jump in the deeper water.
*Nice quiet neighborhood, great location to all the Conway & North Conway attractions as well as grocery store, Walmart, CVS.
