The location, everything was walking distance , staff were helpful and traditional old world charm decor was beautiful. Loved how the staff waited for us (breakfast ends at 9am but we went at 10am) to come to the rooftop brunch so that we didn’t miss the breakfast.
The idea of the bathroom outside, they did mention it in the room description that it would be an external bathroom. Just didn’t realize it would be uncomfortable to use the bathroom in the middle of the night with a key to open the lock.

The property is perfectly located — just a short walk from the Souq and Nizwa Fort. The aesthetic reflects old-style living, with thick stone walls and low ceilings that give it a traditional, historic feel. Overall, a very good and memorable experience.
The property was undergoing renovation when we visited, which was not mentioned at the time of booking. Because of this, there was no restaurant available on-site. Although the walls are quite thick, some noise from other rooms can still be heard occasionally. That said, it’s a tourist spot and most guests stay only for a short time, so it’s fine overall.
