NO HEATING, RUDE HOST, NOISY STREET, UPHILL, FAR FROM MARKET AND TRAIN STATION

Near the Citta Alta and clean.

BIG NO. The manager said she would try to have the apartment ready by 12 and she did, even though check-in was at 3. We checked in a little before 3 because we were out for a walk. The apartment was freezing cold, the radiators weren't working. It was 13 degrees outside, and it was colder in the apartment. I sent the manager a message saying there was no heating and got a reply that the heating would be on from 3pm when we checked in. An hour later, there was still no heating at all, and no hot water in the bathroom. I wrote to her again, but I didn't get any response for 40 minutes. Moreover, the instructions she sent said that she answers messages from 3pm to 6pm, and that she doesn't answer calls. I went down to the cafe again, where I explained the situation to the waiter and asked him to call her, which he did and told me that she would be there in 10 minutes. She came after 40 minutes and walked past me angrily and without any comment. Then she sent the waiter with me to check the situation. That kind guy looked at the system, fixed it, the hot water started in the bathroom, but the radiators remained cold. I asked him if we could get an extra heater, he said that unfortunately it was not possible. When he left, the unkind and rude manager sent me 10 messages in which she said that I was the only one of all the guests who was annoying with self-check-in. Then she told me how hard I was and that I expected a lot for the money I paid for the accommodation (as if I had set the price, and it wouldn't have been worth more than what was paid), how I hadn't paid for a 4 or 5 star hotel, so I could ask for, you might think, heating in the winter and hot water, because that was the only thing I asked for and yes, I thought that was the basics, not luxury. and so on and so on she wrote. In the end, she deleted all her messages and left only the one where she said that I was hard working.

Cozy accommodation right below the Citta Alta.

The accommodation is in a very good location, close to public transport and all important points of the city. The apartment is well equipped. We were also able to arrange luggage storage due to the kindness of the host.

The fifth bed is not very comfortable for a person who is 185 cm tall.

Very nice place in the lovely neighborhood with great breakfast

Very pretty neighborhood, the apartment is very close to the old town of Bergamo, bus stop where the bus to and from the airport goes, nice restaurants, bars and cafés. Price included very nice breakfast - croissant (many different flavours), coffee or tea and juice or water - which we had at the small nearby cafe. We were served by a lovely Maria, who made us feel like home every morning.

At night when the cars were driving by it was loud.

It was really nice to stay at Papavero, would love to come back in the future.

Cozy place with nice localization, great connection with AirPort, train and old town. Coffee at the breakfast was delicious.

There is no air conditioning which is needed in hot days, sometimes it was really hot in the apartment.

Passable but some care and attention needed

Great location, but note it's on 2nd floor and no lifts.

Apartment is OK, nothing special, kitchen area needs updating, and some maintenance and care needed. There were 4 adults (and a child) so we needed the sofa bed; however there was a dubious stain on it (yuk !) The duvet was only a single which was cold as there were 2 of us using it. Very lttle cutlery. Microwave unusable as the sink is in the way of the door

Not an ideal place for family. 4th floor without elevator. The location is very sinister. Road works outside. Lots of noise early in the morning. No nearby parking. Nightmare if you have a car to park. To top it up the owner is surely not polite. Located on top of the very steep road. .

the location is near funiculare....so you can make very easy tour to the old city.....nice restaurants and pubs....and it is located at 2 bus stations apart from city center..

The location is situated perfectly in the piazza. The house was decorated nicely and bed was comfortable.

The bathroom glass doors create a silhouette figure of your body. It doesn’t give you a sense of privacy. No WiFi.

Property is clean, tidy and quiet in the night.

The flat is clean, newly fitted bathroom and shower box. It is located in a beautiful authentic Italian neighbourhood. This was very charming. The building itself also boast a traditional Italian architecture and is very beautiful. The host provided enough towels and clean beddings. I don't know how well equipped is the kitchen because I didn't use it at all. There are two cafes just steps away from the flat, nice to have a breakfast there and to meet the friendly neighbours. The flat is about 10 minutes away from the city centre. The weather was so nice so we walked and stopped by a couple of cafes on the way. It is a bit farther from citta alta. But bus number 1 can take you to the Funicular then you go up to the old city. The bust stop is 5 minutes away from the flat. The host sent me detailed information on Whatsapp about the flat's location, close bus stop, and a photo of the entrance. Also she recommended restaurants and cafes, which I didn't get the chance to visit. In general it was a nice 1 night stay. I would recommend the flat.

Nothing negative really. Just a couple of notes: The flat fits 5 persons, but if you have a family of 4-5 or mainly adults, the flat can be a bit tight. It is located up hill. This didn't bother me at all as I like to walk. It is located on the 2nd floor with no lift in the building, so take it into consideration if you have heavy luggage.

Hidden jewel between two cities

The apartment is very well located, between and close to citta alta and citta bassa. It's spacious, the bed and also the couch were really comfy, all the space very clean, easy check in and out. It's also near (3 mins. walking distance) to the bus station, from where you can go straight to (and from) the airport. The host is beyond great! Very friendly and helpful. Thank you for everything! P. S. You should definitely go to cafe Papavero, which is a minute from the apartment, taste the delicious coffee and pastry, enjoy friendly and local atmosphere.
