Cottage with lovely (mostly wild) garden - our dog loved it. About 5km from the wonderful Derrynane Bay - 3 glorious beaches (dogs not allowed on two from 11-7) and headland packed with rabbits and wild flowers. We went there twice a day and our dog was in heaven. Some contradictions in the property info and had initial difficulty contacting someone for help with kitchen appliances (number tried was someone who had moved to England & other numbers no reply). Once eventually contacted, owner v helpful.

The house was very well laid out. It looked small from outside but that was deceptive, it had everything we required. Also, checking out was simple. Clear upstairs then downstairs to the hall and out:-) I enjoyed the wildlife - toadlets, choughs and larks as well as my first Stonechat in Derrynane, Catherdanial and the juvenile robins mobbing the restaurant by Derrynane house. The house is a great base. Peaceful and still everything close by. Bring fuel for the fire, it is worth it. Also, if yo plan on cooking, do a good shop before you arrive. We had a great stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 week stay in this lovely cottage, the view from the front of the cottage was amazing, (just a suggestion but a few sun loungers would be great here!). Very quiet and secluded and if you like privacy this is the place for you. The kitchen had everything we needed and well appointed. Beds were comfy and we lit the fire as some nights were chilly. If you like swimming, going to the beach and walking, this is the ideal location. A short walk brings you to Westcove Pier where you can swim at full tide. A 15 minute drive brings you to the stunning Derrynane beach with its white sand and aquamarine water (when the sun shines!!) And after a long day on the beach, just up from the carpark at Derrynane is Keatings Bar where you can enjoy a pint and a toasted lamb sandwich or a Pizza. Also about a 5 minute drive from the house is White Strand, another lovely beach. The Kerry Way is on your doorstep with lots of amazing walks, one of which is the Pilgrim Walk, which starts at Derrynane Pier and goes to Bealtra Pier and ends up in the car park of the famous Derrynane House, which was the home of Daniel O'Connell. Staigue Fort is also well worth seeing. Best places for pub grub is O'Sheas in Sneem and the Blind Piper in Caherdaniel and Kenmare is well worth a visit, there is a market there on a Wednesday and lots of nice places to eat and nice shops. Also the Village Bakery in Sneem do amazing homemade toasties, sandwiches, pies, scones, pastries etc and is open for breakfast and lunch and the coffee is very good. A car is essential but a fabulous location to relax and unwind. G Hartnett

Great 1 week holiday in Caherdaniel & surrounding areas like Waterville & Sneem. House is in perfect location but car is almost a must have especially with kids. House itself was great. Lovely design, great views & rooms were ideal for 2 adults & 3 children. Only complaint was shower setup as it was difficult to get hot water when required & that caused some stress. But it was a great week & we'll definitely be back to the area & property.

Myself my hubby and 2 children 2 yrs and 7 yrs stated here last week.A cosey cottage very clean beds comfy, a few problems with hot water in shower but owners were helpful with this however we still all could not have a shower each day as no insufficient hot water.Tv very limited stations but very good wifi.Very remote location local shop very expensive you would have to go into kenmare to get a weekly shop which is 45 minute drive.Local beaches lovely and close to cottage no night life had to drive into Sneem for meal in nice restaurant.Had a nice time Kerry so beautiful and we had great weather but would stay near Kenmare next time as more to do there especially with small kids.

this cottage is traditional style, beside ex9ceptionally well maintained, spotlessly clean and very well stocked. You are not more than 5 mins drive from nearest shop and small beach and 15 mins from derrynane beach and watersport facilities. The location is well away from any tourist trap, there is plenty to occupy everyone from seaside to heritage activities. We will definitely return

Easy to book, confirmation quick. I suggest in addition to GPS, providing the EIRcode, regularly used in Ireland now. Nice cottage, well equipped, lovely open fire, with back boiler, great for cooler nights. Owner was pleasant and checked in with us to see if we needed anything.

Clean and well equipped the house was great. We stayed in winter, which is cold and damp in Ireland so bring your cosy clothes and stock up on fire fuel. There is a lovely spot to swim off west cove pier at high tide. Shops and restaurants are a short drive away. Mrs humphreys the caretaker was very kind and attentive. We'd like to return!

En dehors de la circulation, sans vis à vis, proche de chemins de randonnées. Depuis la maison il y a la vue sur l'océan et la montagne. L'intérieur de la maison est agréable et bien équipé. Pour les provisions il faut faire une quinzaine de kilomètres, pas trop gênant si l'on a un moyen de transport. Nous étions 5 adultes. Pour le confort nous pensons qu'il ne faut pas aller au delà de 6. Nous avons passé un bon séjour.

..in einer traumhaften Umgebung. Wir hatten zwei unvergessliche Wochen in Irland. In unserer Unterkunft hat es uns an nichts gefehlt. Besonders unsere Kinder wussten den schönen Garten zu schätzen. Der Blick von Küche und Terrasse sind einmalig und der Kerry Wanderweg in unmittelbarer Nähe ebenso.

Hatten eine super Zeit (14 Tage). Das Haus ist insgesamt gepflegt. Alles was man braucht ist vorhanden. Beschreibung des Objektes stimmt mit der Realität überein. Buchungvorgang und E-Mail Kontakt mit Fam. Angel hat reibungslos geklappt. Im Wohnzimmer und in der Küche gibt es eine Nachtspeicherheizung und die reichte uns. Kamin haben wir nicht genutzt, können also zu dessen Funktion nichts aussagen. Die von uns genutzten Geräte haben alle funktioniert. Lage, Betten etc. sind individuelle Empfindungen. Wir fanden das Objekt super schön und können es nur weiter empfehlen. A.+J. W.

Wir waren über Weihnachten und Neujahr in diesem Cottage. Über Ausstattung, Zustand und die Lage haben andere Gäste bereits alles gesagt. Die unglaubliche Ruhe, die wunderbare Natur haben wir sehr genossen. Dingle, Ring of Kerry, Ring of Beara, der Killarney National Park - alles ist sehr gut erreichbar und zu dieser Jahreszeit von Touristen nur wenig besucht - wunderbar. Und den Derrynane Beach ganz in der Nähe haben wir zu langen Strandspaziergängen genutzt. Wer am ersten Morgen aus einem der Fenster schaut, sollte sich nicht wundern, wenn er einige Nachbarn im Garten sieht. Fast jeden Morgen kamen sie über den Zaun gesprungen, um Guten Morgen zu sagen - es kann aber auch sein, dass ihnen das Gras im Garten des Cottage besser schmeckte als das auf ihrer Wiese.

Wie jedes Jahr ist der Urlaub in diesem Cottage super. Das Haus ist immer, und das schon seit Jahren, in einem sehr guten Zustand. Alles da, was man braucht und immer super, super sauber. Sehr gemütlich eingerichtet mit einer guten Zimmeraufteilung. Alle Geräte funktionieren einwandfrei. Bei schönem Wetter haben wir gerne draußen gesessen mit Blick auf die Palmen im Garten und haben die Ruhe genossen. Wir haben nun 2 Wochen in dieser großartigen Wohnung verbracht. Da wir jedes Jahr unseren Urlaub in einer Ferienwohnung verbringen, haben wir ein wenig Erfahrung und ich kann nur sagen: Dies war die am besten ausgestattete Wohnung, in der wir jemals waren. Es ist alles vorhanden (sogar Salz und Öl für die Küche). Alles ist sehr sauber und gepflegt. Man fühlt sich einfach vom ersten Moment an wohl. Die Lage ist perfekt. Es ist ruhig und man hat seine Ruhe, ist aber innerhalb von 2 min auf dem Ring of Kerry um seine Ausflüge zu starten. Da die Vermieter auch grade in Irland waren, durften wir sie persönlich kennenlernen und können nur sagen, dass sie sehr nett und zuvorkommend waren. Der Garten ist riesig und unsere Kinder fanden es großartig wenn uns die Schafe besucht haben. Wenn man Glück mit dem Wetter hat, ist der Ausblick einfach atemberaubend. Fazit: Sollte es uns noch einmal in diese Gegend verschlagen, dann werden wir auf jedenfall wieder diese Ferienwohnung buchen.

Wir haben im Juli 2018 drei Wochen in diesem Haus verbracht und uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Haus war ausgesprochen sauber, als wir ankamen. Die Ausstattung ist sehr gut und lässt keine Wünsche offen, die Betten sind bequem, die Bettwäsche ist sehr gut, Handtücher werden reichlich ausgehändigt und sind von einer hohen Qualität, wie man sie selten bekommt. Der Kühlschrank ist groß, der Gefrierschrank innerhalb der Kombi absolut ausreichend. Alles funktioniert einwandfrei, auch Geschirrspüler, Waschmaschine und Trockner. Es gibt einen Fernseher mit deutschen Programmen - haben wir aber nur für das Endspiel der Fußball-WM gebraucht - und ein absolut klasse laufendes WiFi. Sehr geschmackvoll und gemütlich eingerichtet sind alle Räume, insbesondere das Wohnzimmer mit bequemem Sofa und gemütlichem Kamin. Das Haus ist an den Seiten und hinten von gemähtem Rasen umgeben und an einem warmen Tag kann man sich da sehr schön mal auf eine Decke legen und die Seele baumeln lassen. Sehr schön ist auch die Naturwiese an der Eingangsseite des Hauses, und die Palmen verbreiten, insbesondere an sonnigen Tagen, ein exotisches Flair. Das Haus liegt absolut ruhig - man hört lediglich mal ein paar Schafe, wie das in Irland eben so ist. Da es nachts ohne Mondschein absolut dunkel ist - was wir wunderbar fanden -, sollte man eine Taschenlampe dabei haben. Allerdings gibt es auch eine solche im Haus. Bei klarem Himmel kann man einen prachtvollen Sternenhimmel bewundern! Die Lage ist auch deswegen sehr gut, weil der Standort eine hervorragende Basis für Touren zur Beara-Halbinsel, zur Dingle-Halbinsel, in die Berge, nach Mizen Head - oder einfach an den wunderschönen Derrynane-Beach in Caherdaniel oder zum Lamb's Head - ist. Schöne Spaziergänge kann man auf dem oberhalb des Hauses verlaufenden Kerry Way oder zum Westcove Pier machen. Die Menschen in der Umgebung sind sehr freundlich und immer für ein Schwätzchen gut. Insgesamt ist das Haus sehr gepflegt und man merkt, dass die Besitzer sich sehr intensiv darum kümmern. Herr und Frau Angel, die wir auch persönlich kennengelernt haben, sind Vermieter, die ausgesprochen um das Wohl ihrer Gäste bemüht und sehr freundlich sind. Wer an diesem Haus noch irgendetwas auszusetzen hat, macht etwas falsch. Wir haben uns sehr, sehr wohl gefühlt und können es allen Interessenten nur wärmstens empfehlen. Und wenn wir mal wieder in diese Gegend reisen möchten, hoffen wir, dass wir dieses Haus wieder mieten können.

Unser Urlaub in dem schönen Cottage hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Das Cottage liegt schön ruhig, ein schöner Fleck zum Entschleunigen und Erholen. Auch als Ausgangspunkt für den Ring of Kerry liegt das Cottage sehr gut. Das Häuschen selber ist gut ausgestattet, so gibt es neben Waschmaschine, Trockner, Kühl-Gefrierschrank, Geschirrspüler und den üblichen Küchengeräten einen Föhn und zwei Steckdosenadapter.

Wir haben einen wunderschönen Urlaub erlebt. Bereits im Vorfeld wurde sehr freundlich auf Fragen geantwortet, was für uns eine große Hilfe war. Auch die Kontaktperson vor Ort war ausgesprochen freundlich. Die Erreichbarkeit vom Flughafen in Kerry (ca. 1,5 Std) ist super. Das Ferienhaus liegt landschaftlich wunderschön und man hat eine Vielzahl von Unternehmungsmöglichkeiten in der direkten Umgebung. Wir fanden das Haus sehr sauber vor. Die Küche enthält alles Notwendige für einen Urlaubsaufenthalt. Durch den freundlichen Kontakt mit den jeweiligen Ansprechpersonen, die Sauberkeit, Ausstattung des Ferienhauses und die tolle Lage kann man dieses Cottage nur empfehlen.
