Sehr charmante Wohnung inmitten der historischen Altstadt, nur wenige Meter von der Uferpromenade mit ihren einladenden Cafés, Restaurants und den legendären Markthallen entfernt. Auch die Bootsanlegestelle ist in wenigen Gehminuten erreichbar. Die Wohnung war unser perfekter Rückzugsort nach den täglichen Ausflügen. Man genießt viel Privatsphäre und ist dennoch bei Bedarf in kürzester Zeit mitten im Geschehen. Der freundliche Gastgeber war jederzeit erreichbar und versorgte uns mit einigen hervorragenden Insider-Tipps.

Die Treppe zur Dachterrasse war etwas tückisch. Der Aufgang ist eng und steil und man muss gut aufpassen, vor allem wenn man Geschirr mitnehmen will.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour ! Notre hôte était vraiment très sympathique, accueillant et disponible, ce qui a rendu nos derniers jours de vacances encore plus agréables. Le logement est idéalement situé à Olhão, parfait pour profiter pleinement de la ville et de ses environs. L’appartement est très agréable, avec un rooftop où il fait bon se détendre. La literie est confortable, ce qui garantit de très bonnes nuits de repos. La petite cuisine est fonctionnelle et suffisamment équipée. Nous recommandons sans hésiter et reviendrons avec plaisir ! Un grand merci à Bertrand pour sa gentillesse et son accueil chaleureux. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié ses attentions et sa disponibilité tout au long de notre séjour !

Les marches en colimaçon, quelques fois des odeurs dégoût

The hosts were welcoming, charming, delightful, and very helpful people. They couldn’t have been nicer. The house is in a great location being in the centre of the old town of Olhão. It is literally a 3-4 minutes walk to the Mercado and all the bars and restaurants. It’s a very easy, flat walk to both the ferry, to go to the beautiful islands in the Ria Formosa, and also to the train station to go along the coast. The WiFi was good, and there was always plenty of hot water for showers etc. Efficient air conditioning too. Really good communication with the hosts Marie and Bertrand. They responded extremely quickly whenever we needed to make contact with them before and during our stay.

This house is better suited to people who don’t have any mobility issues etc. The step up into the house is very high, and the internal staircases are extremely steep and narrow. We knew it had stairs, but hadn’t realised how difficult they would be to negotiate. The stairs up to the washing machine and the roof terrace were even steeper and we had to practically crawl up them. The stairs made our knees and backs hurt, as we are a couple in our 70’s. The sofa was also very low, which made it difficult to get up from. None of these things would have been a problem if we were younger and in better health. This place is ideal for fitter young people, and we’d say it would be perfect for others - just not for us.
