Hamacho Hotel Tokyo

The staff are helpful and friendly and happy for you to leave your luggage before or after check in. The breakfast was varied and plentiful with Japanese and Western options - there aren’t many nearby places to have breakfast so I was glad my booking included it. The location is very near Ningyocho, which is full of traditional shops and restaurants. It’s a short walk across the bridge to Kiyosumi-Shirakawa with a traditional garden and specialty coffee places, and if you are keen you can walk along the river ( I walked to Kurumae). It’s also close to the Tokyo City Air Terminal. The subway stations are all a bit of a walk away but that would only be inconvenient if you had heavy luggage. There’s also a good Peacock supermarket across the road and a number of pastry shops nearby. I also appreciated that the windows open a small amount to allow fresh air to come in.

I had stayed at Hamacho before so there wasn’t really anything I didn’t like. It’s not cheap, but I think the room design and service makes it pretty average for Tokyo.

Loved staying here. Super comfortable and clean. The staff were friendly and really helpful. It’s in a peaceful neighbourhood which was nice to retreat to after the bustle of Tokyo. Highly recommend.

Location great, cleanliness x although next time would upgrade to a bigger room as it was small not great for two people.

Staff was really friendly. The lobby area is a nice vibe. Complimentary toiletries available. They held our suitcases for 2 days prior to check in.

Room was tiny and couch and carpet had stains. Not much to do in the area.
