Our apartment Saphiro is located in the picturesque mountain village of Ampelos on the Greek island of Samos and is very suitable for an individual vacation in Greece.
Various charter airlines fly to Samos from European airports at least once a week during the season. The daily, year-round connection via Athens is also easy.
Ampelos is about 45 minutes by car from the airport, about 300m above sea level in the Ampelos Mountains. A rental car is recommended for a flexible holiday. It is best to rent the car from Germany, with the agreement of handover and return at the airport.

The apartment was clean and quiet, and the view was amazing. The path outside the door leads straight into the heart of Ambelos, which has cute houses, a market, and a great restaurant with a fantastic view. If you plan on exploring the island by car, you'll have to drive about 10 minutes down the mountain on a very steep and windy road but you get used to it after the first couple of times. Overall a great place to stay.
